When you set up your Bluetooth, you may run into connectivity issues. When you first activate your Bluetooth on your main smart device, make sure that there are no other smart devices that are connected to Bluetooth, such as phones, tablets etc. If these are on and around your smart device, they will try to connect to your thermometer of choice and will disrupt your Bluetooth connection to your main device. Once you have your smart device connected, you want to test the effective range of the Bluetooth connection for your thermometer.

First: Walk in a straight line away from the thermometer.

Second: Make sure there is nothing physical separating the connection between you and the thermometer, such as walls or the floors of your home.

Physical structures and wireless signals from cordless phones or wireless internet will interfere with the strength of the Bluetooth connection for any device. If your range is unsatisfactory with your thermometer, you can also try inserting new batteries.

If utilizing those steps does not work, you can remove the batteries from the iGrill unit and press down on the reset button. Holding down the reset button will wipe away any previous connections from before which will in turn assist you with the pairing process of your Bluetooth enabled thermometer and smart device.
