How My Family Lost 600 pounds

It’s no secret how much I love grilling and all things Weber. However, what many of you may not know is that I credit grilling with helping to keep my family and I healthy.

A few years ago my family and I lost 600 pounds collectively. We decided as a group that it was important for us to get our health in order and change our lifestyle.

Many people close to us ask how we lost all the weight. There are many factors that went into our weight loss, including cutting out refined sugars, changing to whole wheat flour products instead of white flour, exercise, and cutting out going out to eat and ordering in as much as possible.

Once we did that we realized that we had to start getting creative with what we ate since we were making more food at home. We started to grill more meals on our Weber and quickly realized that the healthier meals we were grilling were more enjoyable than eating out.

You’d be surprised how much better for you a whole wheat grilled pizza is compared to the pizza you order from down the street.

The best part was that we didn’t sacrifice any taste or flavor. The flavor our grill imparted all our meals with was so much better than anything we could have had at a restaurant.

Fast forward a few years, and my family and I have kept the weight off and continue to grill on our Weber grills regularly. That is why it is so easy for me to say to people that a Weber grill is a life changing product.  I really mean it! Hopefully this week, you will get outside and grill your next healthy (and delicious!) meal.
