Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smoker Box I bought this during the summer of 2017 and used it but the box kept getting too hot and burning up the wood chips so the smoke was more burn than Applewood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive way to smoke fish I bought the smoker box about 6 months ago and have used it many times. I wanted to smoke fish occasionally and didn’t want another appliance that I would only use once in a while. The smoker box is the perfect solution. It is easy to use and a variety of wood chips are readily available. Smoking fish is a little tricky, as you need enough heat to light the chips and create the smoke, but not too much heat to over cook the fish. A little trial and error is required, but once you get it, the results are terrific. I light one of the three burners and put the smoker box filled with soaked wood chips over that burner. I put the fish on the other side of the grill. Smoking for 45 minutes to an hour usually does the trick. I mostly smoke salmon, but have also done bluefish, to make a delicious smoked fish pate. I highly recommend this product. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that managing the heat is a little more difficult than having a dedicated smoker.
