Ranch Kettle Charcoal Grill 37" is rated out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve R. from It's different I have a 22" kettle I have owned for a few years amd have dialed in the vent settings I need for low and slow cooking. Forget what you think you know about setting the vents with the Ranch. Fully open top vent lets all the heat out, i stead of getting it up to temp. About halfway open is where you want to start. I love the Ranch for smoking large amounts of butts, briskets, etc. I use the same BBQ Guru PartyQ on both kettles, which helps tremendously. Also, if you are going low and slow, don't use the lid holder, which lets all the heat out. Instead, lift the lid and set it flat on a hard surface, and your cooking temp comes back right away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JazzMan 0096 from Nothing Beats Ranch Kettle...Nothing. I have owned 2 Ranch Kettles so I think I know what I am talking about. Got this crazy idea to buy an offset firebox smoker thinking how cool it would be. Bought it, used it several times, and now I have gone back to smoking, grilling and cooking on the Ranch Kettle. I can do anything on that that you can do on a competitive grill. Going to trash the smoker and chalk it up as a bad idea gone wrong!
