Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring back the old Weber Kettle Weber over the years has cheapened their grills. The metal is a thinner gauge steel making it harder to hold heat and keep temps. The lid needs a gasket to seal. A sloppy fitting lid allows air in and this will also affect your temps. They switched the venting to a vent/ash clean out. This was the worse idea as, one it doesn’t seal the air intakes that well again making it difficult to hold temps. Two it clogs with grease and will get hard to move and then the wings bend. They should have stuck to the original Weber kettle. Heavy gauge steel, disk dampers which are/were the best. I own the old and have owned several of the old style and they just perform with competition worthy BBQ. I’ll continue to look for old ones at rummage sales . As far as the new onesI ,throw them in the trash. Wake up Weber make the old ones again.
