Mincing Ginger

Step 1

The skin of fresh ginger is quite fibrous, so scrape it off with the edge of a spoon.

Step 2

A spoon will create less waste than a vegetable peeler or paring knife.

Step 3

Then rub the peeled ginger along the tiny, sharp blades of a handheld grater.
