Tuck-N-Carry Lid Lock

The lid locks so that you can carry your grill by the handle. The handle also lowers, doubling as a lid holder, to avoid placing the lid on the ground.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Vent location= LOW HEAT If you have had a Joe back in the day the vents were higher up from the bottom than what is on these newer models. Hard to get the grill got enough. Works great for low heat cooking, but if you want to cook a steak, this grill sucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grill, but has a learning curve. Others have mentioned this grill not having vents on the bottom. Yes, this does make the grill a little bit harder to use, but not at all unable. The grill needs plenty of charcoal, I think people are missing that. The regular 14" smokey Joe [which I had before for years] got real hot with less charcoal, so I did struggle the first 5-10 times using this grill. But, after adding about 10-15% more charcoal, this grill gets just as hot and lasts for quite some time. I also like that I can cut the heat when fatty foods [like pork belly] starts getting ripping hot but closing the lid. But since this grill does not quite have the air flow, I tend to leave the lid cracked open on the opposite side of the top vent, and this puts my temp right where I want it. Yes, I we should be able to control the temp with just the vents - maybe Weber will do something about that later. One last thing about the lack of bottom vent - I kinda like the bottom closed as it's real easy to clean.
