Convert your Weber grill into a griddle with the carbon-steel Rust-Resistant Griddle Insert. This cooktop is transformed under extreme heat and pressure that case hardens and bonds the surface, reducing the ability for moisture to collect and rust to form. Then it’s pre-seasoned with food-safe oils that condition the metal for an extra boost of rust resistance and a natural, easy-release cooking surface that makes it ready to use right out of the box. No use of coatings means it’s safe for metal tools. Simply remove your existing grates, place the griddle into the grill and enjoy making smashed burgers, bacon, eggs, fajitas, and stir-fries.

• Convert your Weber grill into a griddle
• Rust-resistant cooktop stays ready, not rusty
• Pre-seasoned and ready to use out of the box
• Safe to use with metal tools
• Rear grease slot directs grease into your grill’s grease management system

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rust Resistant Griddle Weber has become a staple in our house for quality and craftsmanship! Anytime it gets fired up our guests know magic is about to happen. And this griddle is no exception. Comes pre seasoned but def recommend doing your own clean, burn off, then reseasoning before use. After the first few cooks you can tell this griddle top is going to be a staple in our outdoor grilling life for along time. So far everything ive made on it has come out beautifully seared and delicious. Do your homework, try new recipes, and enjoy! You wont go wrong with this product. Gets better after every cook. Just remember to oil her up after you clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the wait! I have watched the griddle craze grow over the past five years or so from a curiosity to a craze to a full blown phenomenon. I liked the idea, but was WAY less than impressed with the build quality and overall design of the early leaders in this market niche. And I always wondered when and how Weber would respond. As a long time Weber devotee I decided to wait for Weber to come out with an accessory piece to use with my existing equipment. Well, I now have it and it was well worth the wait. The Griddle Insert for my 4-burner Genesis gives me a really full size griddle top, and the ability to cook on two or even three zones at once. I got it two weeks ago and have already turned out several perfect batches of pancakes, from protein packed Buckwheat to Strawberries and Cream. Bacon and Chorizo and Eggs are also a breeze, probably because of the superior even heating provided by the Genesis burners. Fajitas and quesadillas are a snap. Suggestion: if you don't already have one, invest in an infrared temperature gauge. The old "hold your palm down near the cooking surface and count 'one Mississippi, two Mississippi". really doesn't cut it with this new cooktop, and the gauge really does. It quickly confirmed what I already figured, that the Weber Griddle heats very evenly all over the cooking surface. And a decent gauge will cost you $20 to $40. I see myself using this griddle a lot. Can't say enough good things. It's going to be a great summer!
