No, you cannot control the grill from your smart phone. You can easily control your grill’s temperature using its precise burner knobs.

Upon downloading the WEBER CONNECT app, pair your grill to the app via Bluetooth by following these steps:

1.Turn your WEBER CONNECT display.

2.Open the WEBER CONNECT app and tap “Pair Device”

3.Hold your smartphone near the grill until it is detected by the app

4.Once the grill is found, tap “Pair”

5.Confirm the pairing on the WEBER CONNECT module; a visual is provided in the app for reference

All 2022 GENESIS® grills are compatible with the WEBER CRAFTED Outdoor Kitchen Collection by purchasing a WEBER CRAFTED frame kit, if not already equipped. Below is a summary of what you will need depending on your grill model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back to Weber - Finally I finally went back to a Weber grill after trying another brand for the last few years. So happy I went with the Genesis. I especially love the smart temperature system that shows the grill temp and the temp of the food, both on the grill’s display and the phone app. I’ve used the side burner just once so far but it worked great, even though it was very windy that day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Good Assembled the grill in July. Ambient heat was such that a residue was left on the surface of the grill cover when the protective film was peeled off - marring the finish. Cooked some meat really hot in February. The grill igniter push button stopped working and had to be replaced. And the grill covering melted and fixed to the grill cover - had to be scraped off. Otherwise, a great Weber grill. Some fabulous meals have come off the Genesis.
