Remove the circular grate insert and replace it with a griddle, poultry roaster, pizza stone, or any of the many Gourmet BBQ System inserts to choose from. The hinged grate makes it easy to add charcoal while grilling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Regrets We ordered the grill through Lowe's. Lowe's assembled the grill. After several cooking sessions we are pleased with the grill quality and performance. We ordered the optional charcoal baskets and the chimney fire starter and are worthwhile additions. Overall the heat control is very good. The temperature gauge is a good reference for the heat range, something we did not have on a previous grill. The grill grates are high quality and have a good heft, solid. With its four wheels this grill is easy to move around. We expect many years of use from this grill. We ordered the grill cover. It has a snug fit and you must be careful putting it on & off (to keep from tearing it); it is a worthwhile purchase. Lastly the fact that this grill is mostly U.S.A. produced is important to us. We understand business often must out source parts and assembly to some degree. Weber has kept to U.S.A. production much better than some other companies. We looked hard at the PK's before we chose Weber. China was difference in our decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Kettle Grill Ever This is my third Weber Kettle and it has lots of upgrades from my first in the 1980's. I love the lid holder as it keeps you from holding it or laying down while cooking. The second thing I like is the ease in dumping ashes, it is much better than the older model. The last thing is the shelf, I cannot say enough about it's usefulness and overall a great addition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2012 Weber Performer Charcoal Grill Just wanted to comment on the durability and performance of the Weber Performer grill. I purchased this model grill back in 2012. With proper care, this grill looks and works like it’s still new. No loose or weak parts and no rust . The only parts I had to replace were the grill rack. Excellent product and well worth the money.
