Rated 1 out of 5 by Hag76 from Disappointing quality and after-care **Great BBQ, very disappointing quality and after-sales service** I bought a Weber Master-Touch in May, having previously owned a Weber kettle for around 20 years. That previous experience was one of the main reasons I was happy to pay a premium for another Weber. Unfortunately, within only a few months the enamel started coming away from the upper part of the lid near the handles, leaving sizeable areas of bare steel exposed. Apart from looking poor on such a new BBQ, I am concerned that the exposed steel will inevitably start to corrode and that the enamel will continue to deteriorate. What has been even more disappointing is Weber's after-sales service. I submitted a warranty enquiry and received an automated response on 6 August saying I would receive a reply within 3 to 5 days. I have heard absolutely nothing since. I have also repeatedly tried the UK customer service telephone number, only to receive a message saying they are unable to take calls because of the volume of enquiries. The BBQ itself cooks very well and, based on my previous Weber, I had expected it to last for many years. However, enamel failure after only a few months and an after-sales service that appears unable to respond to either emails or telephone calls is simply not what I expected from Weber. I have now asked the retailer to take the BBQ back for a refund. Sadly, after being a very satisfied Weber owner for around two decades, this experience has seriously undermined my confidence in the brand.
