Grilled Boneless Chicken Breast

Rub

  • Completed step 1 teaspoon granulated onion
  • Completed step 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • Completed step ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • Completed step ½ teaspoon prepared chili powder
  • Completed step ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
 
  • Completed step 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, each about 8 ounces

Instructions

  • Prepare the grill for cooking over medium heat (400°F).
    Prepare the grill for direct cooking over medium heat (375° to 425°F).
  • Prepare your chicken breast seasoning in a small bowl and mix the rub ingredients. Lightly brush the chicken on both sides with oil and season evenly with the rub, pressing the spices into the meat.
  • Brush the cooking grates clean. Grill the chicken breasts over direct medium heat, with the lid closed, until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken registers 165°F, 8 to 12 minutes, turning once or twice. Remove your now fully grilled boneless chicken breasts from the grill and let rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve warm.
