Rated 1 out of 5 by from Three Tanks Tested, Same Problem I am posting this review because I have spent considerable time and money troubleshooting a problem that appears to be related to Weber's replacement hose and regulator assembly, not the propane tank as I was repeatedly told. My Weber grill lights normally, burns properly for a short period, and then the flame gradually weakens until it goes out completely. When I contacted Weber, I was told the issue was likely the propane tank or the tank's O-ring. To eliminate that possibility, I tested three different propane tanks. The exact same problem occurred with each tank. On one tank, I even noticed a slow leak at the connection. I then purchased and compared three replacement hose and regulator assemblies from different sources, including Weber, Walmart, and Ace Hardware. All three replacement assemblies had the same smaller design compared to my original Weber regulator. The differences I observed include: • The original Weber regulator is substantially larger than the replacement regulators currently being sold. • The internal gas opening appears noticeably different from the original regulator. • All three replacement regulators, regardless of where they were purchased, shared the same smaller design. The attached photos show my original Weber regulator alongside the replacement regulators. The size difference is obvious. After replacing virtually every component on my grill with genuine Weber parts and testing multiple propane tanks, the common factor remains the replacement hose and regulator assembly. I am not claiming to know the engineering cause, but the smaller regulator design and different internal opening are the most significant differences I found after eliminating the propane tanks as the source of the problem. I would appreciate Weber addressing the following questions: 1. Why is the current replacement regulator substantially smaller than the original Weber regulator? 2. Has the regulator design changed from the original version? 3. Does the replacement regulator provide the same gas-flow specifications as the original regulator? 4. Is Weber aware of similar customer complaints involving flames that weaken and eventually go out? I have always considered Weber a premium brand and have enjoyed using Weber products for years. However, it has been frustrating to repeatedly be told that the propane tanks are the problem after testing multiple tanks and multiple replacement regulators. The grill itself has been excellent, but the replacement hose and regulator assembly has not performed like the original part and deserves further investigation by Weber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last resort Instalation was easy and thank heavens it cleared up the problem I was having with low flame. Tried replacement as the last resort after trying all the other solutions recommended. Thought i was going to have to buy a new grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer service was great Needed to trouble shoot a repair for an older Weber grill. 1st regulator didn’t solve the issue. Customer service was pretty sure that was the issue and sent out overnight a replacement part for the new regulator. That was the issue. Problem solved. Back to grilling again!
