Gas Valve and Regulator Assembly is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Regulator conked again I purchased a Q1200 from Amazon on April 14,2023, along with a Coleman adapter hose to use a 20lb tank. For a while it worked nicely, although a bit underpowered. Then the regulator stopped working. I tried all the steps to get out of bypass mode and it worked a couple of times, then stopped altogether. Weber sent me a new regulator under warranty, which was easy to install. It then worked OK over the winter and spring of '24, used probably 10 times. We did not use over summer of '24 but it was not moved or messed with - we were travelling. Upon return it has the same problem, and all the steps don't help, including using a small propane bottle. Reading other reviews, some of which describe dangerous events, I feel like there should be a buyback program for a clearly defective product. Or at least a huge discount on the purchase of a larger model like the Spirit (I have one of those at our vacation place and it works fine).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fail too often I have 2 Weber Q 1000 grills and the regulator has gone bad on both of them with little use. And if you replace the part 2 or 3 times it is like buying a new grill. Replacement parts for the grill are just way too high

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Q1200 Famous Regulator Issue Regulator failed. Just like everyone else. I grill less these days because this $250 grill let me down. I’m not in agreement with a $75 regulator. I cleaned my grill regularly and took care of it.
