Rated 3 out of 5 by from Locking Casters Review I bought replacement locking casters because the original ones fell apart after 6 years. This wasn't expected as I have owned a couple of non-Weber grills that I didn't have to replace the wheels on. The replacement wheels were more of a challenge to install vs. the rear wheels due to the original wheels being secured into the base that has to be removed before you can push the old wheels out. Once that's accomplished, re-attach the base and install the new wheels by pushing them into the base. As for the quality; same as the rear wheels- the quality is fair. The locking casters seem to be good for 5-6 years before replacement. I also feel that these wheels are overpriced given their durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessary Evil I went to roll my grill out to begin cooking and noticed small black pieces of hard plastic on the patio floor and realized the wheels were not rolling like normal. I guess five years is about as long as you can expect plastic wheels to last. I went to town to shop for new wheels with no success. That is when I decided to do the right thing and order them from Weber. My suggestion is that when your grill gets five years old go ahead and get you a new set to have on hand. Your portable grill won’t roll without wheels.
