Hear From Other Grillers

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weber knobs are BAAAAAAD I have had a Summit® S-670 Gas Grill (Liquid Propane) for 7 years. From DAY ONE and every year I’ve owned it, the knobs break. They are now extremely cheaply made, now being ALL PLASTIC. I wouldn’t mind the exterior of the knob being plastic, but there is like a tube stalk inside that is supposed to grab a hard inflexible metal to turn the gas on and off. They break endlessly. The first time, I had no spares, so I had to finish cooking housing a rubberized pliers to turn the gas on one zone without damaging the valve, then I bought another set online. Then they kept breaking. So I called Weber. Between the dealer they sent to repair my grill (for other reasons affecting the burners) and Weber, I was given two additional sets. Weber HAS TO KNOW that they have a poor design here and they do Nothing to fix it years later. STOP USING cheap materials!!!! One of my side tables actually fell down - I looked and it’s held in place by a single bolt and somehow - with the grill not being moved around much and the side table used just to hold prep items, the Bo,t gave way and the hole the bolt fits into is permanently disfigured. I had to bend the top part of the tray so that it sits on its bracket to stay in place so it doesn’t look awful, but I can’t use that side safely anymore. Build quality is NOT what it was or should be. And like I said, Weber knows this. They know they’ve cheapened the product with lesser materials and that their build quality is not what it was. My dealer told me they have more trouble with Webers than any of their other “top of the line” grill brands. I’m now going to get a new grill. And to be honest, I’d buy a disposable charcoal grill before I even consider another Weber

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent service Great job on covering under warranty. Also got two knobs just in case I need another one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Subject to breakage easily. Probably to make them "lighted" they are made out of silicon or some pliable material. This makes them easily subject to breaking/shredding. Anytime you have someone use your grill you need to give them a lesson on how not to turning them off to the left. I have already reordered replacements twice. the "lighting" feature is og marginal value. The snap on overhead lights are great.
