Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed: First Weber Letdown Since 1990 I’ve owned Weber grills since the 1990s and have always been impressed. Until now. The Spirit EP-325 (mine is the natural gas version, but that’s not the issue) shows some clear manufacturing shortcuts that appear to save money and increase profit at the owner's expense. 1. No Back Panel The grill stand is completely open in the back, leaving it exposed to leaves, pests, and weather. I contacted Weber support about this, and the agent simply pointed me to a “critter prevention” help article. That is not an acceptable solution. This is a design flaw, not a cleaning issue. 2. Poor Grate Design The gaps between the grill grates are noticeably wider than in past models. Burgers, wings, vegetables, anything small can and does fall through. If you’ve owned older Weber models, you’ll see the difference right away. It feels like a step backward. 3. Inconsistent Heat for Indirect Cooking The temperature is difficult to control. Using only one burner does not provide enough heat for indirect cooking on the other side. Temperatures stay in the 200 to 250 degree range, which is not useful for much. This is the first Weber that has ever let me down. I am sad to see the drop in quality from a brand I trusted for decades. And yes, Weber, I have contacted the company about this. It's truly a shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect marriage of Weber grills. Perfect addition to my Weber large griddle. The griddle has some short comings such as ribs, chicken ..... Now, with the open flame Spirit, theirs is nothing I can't cook outside. Very satisfied.

Called for warranty service and i was told that the assembly was out of stock and that it would be 3 to 4 weeks before i get a new one. I have a $700 grill that i can’t use for most of the summer
