Rated 1 out of 5 by “Papa” from Cheap accessory for an Expensive grill The app is great, but the unit is cheap and doesn’t work properly (as the app intends) much of the time. The basic problem is that this is Bluetooth, and a poor (cheap) execution of it, at that! (It should have been done with a Wi-Fi connection, instead.) Weber has generously replaced my original unit, assuming it was defective. But it wasn’t. The new one works exactly the same way. Using Aaron Pearce’s new HomeScan app on the iPhone, the Bluetooth signal generated by the iGrill 3 STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE UNIT is only -71 (0 to -60 is optimal, -61 to -70 is OK, -71 to -90 is poor and anything past -91 is bad and unreliable.) Moving to the other (left) end of the grill drops the signal to -83. Walking inside thru a glass door sends it to -100. Needless to say, the iGrill 3 does not work in the REAL world, as advertised.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bubbas BBQ from Good but needs better range capabilities Range is limited on the Bluetooth. I need to be within about 20 feet of the BBQ in order for my phone to read the temps. The pork tenderloin turned out perfect. The ambient temperature gauge is worthless. It’s way off and reads way too hot. The lid thermometer does a much better job. Ordered the rotisserie also and that works great however the metal rod/skewer is bent a little after one use with a 6 lb chicken.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RyanTampa from Amazinf I think this may be the first time I’ve written an on line review but this device deserves a mention. I used this thing for the first time tonight. Used it to cook 4 enormous pork chops and they were without a doubt the best I’ve ever cooked. This thing is awesome. Highly recommend it.
