Awesome!

After throwing away a 3 year old competitors grill because it was chinese junk and seeing what a difference there is in a quality made Weber Grill. Don't buy anything else. Just the difference in quality I can see many many happy years of grilling. It heats quickly, cooks evenly and temperature control is accurate.
Thank you Weber I am a very satisfied customer after just 4 days of grilling?

One Fantastic Grill!

We've had our Summit grill now for what will be two years this July. We upgraded from the Genesis model, which did not have a side burner. This model is slightly larger as well. I've cooked lots of foods including beef, fish, chicken, vegetables and used the optional rotisserie, which by the way, does a terrific job on chicken or game hens. In my opinion the Summit 420 is an excellent choice for those who frequently grill and want to serve a small to medium crowd. It's relatively easy to clean and the stainless steel wipes clean with a standard cleaning agent. The cabinet is large enough to store things that you would typically need, such as brushes, mitts, or utensils. If you invest in a grill like this, I would also encourage you to check out the many grilling recipes that Weber offers on line or in various books that are available. In short, if you love grilled food.....like we do, this will keep you happy for many years to come.

Consistent results over time& all year long

I bought this model because the burner knobs are upright, snow & ice don't build up on them. The sis grates work very well and last. Cleaning it is very simple too. The double hood keeps the heat in for grilling in winter. I have grilled, smoked and slow cooked with this unit--4 burners means convection cooking is easy. I like the side burner for cooking splattery stuff outdoors, doesn't trash the kitchen. I do wish the burner was hotter for browning things. With the Weber (we don't call it a BBQ) I use Lodge cast iron frypans and lids, Dutch ovens, and cast iron griller plates, braising, slow cooking etc all a simple matter.

If you take the time to explore the versatility od the Weber you can get excellent results--in summer we slide a pizza oven in there and wow the gang with unbelievable fresh pizzas!

Before this Weber I burned out several cheap BBQ s and learned their hotspots etc, this one took me a year to settle down and realize tha "it just works".

Fantastic!!!!

I have had all sorts of propane grills . Charmglow, sears , etc etc. they never lasted longer than 2 years so. I purchased a Summit and it is a horse. no flimzy sheet metal that rusts out with grease drippings on your deck. it egnites nicely although i had to get use to the start system. heats to desired temperature in 10 minutes.
The test will be its longevity as I live on the Chesapeake Bay and salt air is always a challenge for metal parts. i have a good feeling that this grill will be with me for the long term.

Best Gas grill I have used

Over almost 40 years I have owned a few gas grills and used a few more brands that were not Webers. My Summit 420 is about 7 years old now and looks almost brand new. It has performed consistently better than any other brand I have owned or used. I BBQ about 3 times per week and the 420 performs just as well as it did 7 years ago. The flavorizer bars give foods a better taste than on any other gas grill. Add a smoker box for wood chips and only gets better. This BBQ heats to 500 degrees in 10 to 15 minutes.

I keep it out of the elements and maintain it per Weber instructions. There is no doubt in my mind that it will last at least another 10 years. Weber also has the best customer service in the business. If something should go wrong all it takes is a phone call and they make it right.

I highly recommend the Summit line and my only regret is that I purchased the LP gas version when a natural gas version was available.

Expensive, but The envy of the neighborhood

I went from a $500 grill that was 11 yrs old to this one. There are no hot spots. The grill heats to 600 degrees in 10 minutes. I have cooked pork chops, burgers and seared ribs on this. I also burned garlic bread on this. But the meat was the best I have had.

Grilling has become much quicker and the taste is amazing.

I only graded the value as a 3 since $1500 is expensive and you are paying for quality and durability. If you can afford it and you're an avid griller I would highly recommend this grill.

Having the right tool for the job is essential. This is the best you can get and you will not be disappointed.
