I'm very surprised

I just purchased my Weber Genesis stainless grill and I ordered 2 Weber smoker boxes with the stainless grates. I must say I'm very impressed with smoke flavor by using the 2 smoker boxes on my first cook. Before my first cook I painted on one part bacon grease and one part vegetable oil on the inside of grill and brought up the temp to 500 degrees for 1 hour to season grill before first cook. The next day I grilled some chicken with my homemade sauce and grilled some sausage burgers using the 2 smoker boxes. The food had a great smoke flavor. I would have never thought I could get this kind of flavor using a gas grill. I normally use my wood pellet grill. Now, I'm using both gas and pellet grill at the same time for large cooks. This is the first time I've ever owned a gas grill and would certainly recommend this grill to anyone. The smoker boxes are a must have though to accomplish overall smoke flavor you expect from grilling out. I love this Weber grill. I just wish the 2 smoke boxes came with the grill since it was an extra $200 for 2 boxes. With that being said, I wouldn't have been happy with grill without them. They are a must have.

This is our 4th Weber

The is 310 is going to be the best Weber we have ever had. It was not cheap but we would rather do without than to buy from any other manufacturer! You can just cook anything on a Weber NG grill.

Caster wheels too small

Love the grill itself but the caster wheels are too small to navigate over even small imperfections in my driveway and garage. Emailed Weber and they replied that there are no larger replacement wheels available. Very disappointed. Will definitely be a factor in my next grill purchase.

excellent except for the wheels

We replaced our previous Genesis after 22 years with a new 330. It works great except for one issue - the casters have a plastic piece between the wheels that almost touches the ground, and our back patio is made of bricks that are slightly uneven. The plastic piece would catch and the grill was very difficult to move. A call to Weber did not help - they said they had never heard of the problem and that no other wheels were available. Odd, since a goggle of Weber Genesis wheels turns up hits from others who have had the same problem.

But this weekend we found a simple fix - we cut off the plastic piece on all four wheels with a hacksaw. It was easy and now the grill rolls with no problems. As far as I could tell, the plastic piece is a design detail with no functional purpose.

Poor Quality Control

My grill was delivered an hour or two ago.

The side burner igniter does not work. I should have refused delivery, but did not. Instead, I called Weber customer service. They are shipping a replacement igniter, free. They said it will get here in a couple weeks or so. That is, 48 hours to ship it, then 7 to 10 business days for shipping.

Perhaps the new igniter will fix it. Perhaps not.

I expect this sort of shoddy stuff with cheap no name products, not with a grill that cost nearly a thousand dollars. The ratings do not go low enough.

First Webber Genesis3000 lasted 24years, time to upgrade

Webber quality was aperient 24 years ago when our house was too hot to cook in. We bought the G3000 for our first anniversary present to each other. Yes we had to replace a couple of parts over the years but it cooked on. Being our 25th anniversary this year we decided to pass the old grill down to a neighbor and bought the S-330. We have used it for about 6 months now and are even more happy that we once again have a very solid, easy to use and even cooking grill. I am sure this grill should get us to our 50th so well worth the money.

Happy grilling,
Rick and Valerie

The best Wber grill yet!!!!

I bought my 1st Genesis back in 1989 and to me that was a benchmark grill that couldn't be duplicated. My new wife thought charcoal was best and we sold the Genesis in 94 and went back to the Weber kettle grill which is the best charcoal grill ever. Over the years we replaced the kettle to the model with gas ignition and a work table area. While shopping at a Big Box store my wife finally decided to return to gas thus we bought our new Genesis S-330. All we had to do was install the gas tank and we were good to go. With the sear station my wife succeeded in making the best grilled steaks we have ever had on a grill to this date. The simplicity of operating this grill along with the highest quality one would expect from owning a Weber Genesis makes this the best grill we have ever owned. Congratulations to the engineers at Weber for designing this amazing grill !!!!

Awesome

Let me start by saying Weber's customer service is top notch. when unboxing I noticed a dent/gouge right on the shroud top. Called CS emailed a picture, then got a conformation email saying another is being shipped. I'm replacing a 8-9 year old Genesis silver which still worked great but I needed something bigger and wanted something better for less flare up's and the Summit would of been to much. This grill is solid and I think I will have it for many years to come.
