Bad Regulator

The design and construction of this grill is excellent. It has held up very well to our four seasons with one exception.
Since I purchased the grill I have had issues with gas flow. Shame on me for not bringing this to Webers attention earlier. Last night it refused to light.
This morning I called customers service to explain my ongoing plight with this grill. They were less than helpful, only stating it was out of warranty.
My thinking was that with the initial expense of the grill, my explanation of the problem since inception, and seeing that weber has made exceptions for out of warranty replacement in other reviews, they would replace this rather inexpensive regulator. This was not the case.
The lesson learned is to call and not ignore a problem. It looks like this is an isolated issue with my grill.
Good luck and Good grilling to all!!!!!

Buy a model with stainless steel grates

This is a great grill but I cannot recommend any Weber model without stainless steel grates. The original grates that came with this grill immediately chipped and rusted and the chips were in our food. I called Weber to complain and they begrudgingly sent me replacement grates that are only slightly better. Just ordered stainless steel grates from Amazon. So save yourself a lot of money and buy a model with stainless steel grates until Weber fixes the problem with their cast iron grates. This is my second Weber grill and I never had a problem with the cast iron grates on my old one.

I've always wanted a Weber Grill

I've always wanted a Weber grill but their rather pricey.

I realized the money that I spend on purchasing a new grill every 3-4 years, I could just purchase a Weber grill and should have no problem for at least 9 or 10 years.

I used my grill for the first time yesterday and I love it.

My food cooked evenly, did not burn (I'm not saying you cannot burn food on a Weber, but I'm known for burning food on my grill and I did not encounter this issue using my Weber).

I also purchased a light and a cleaning kit and I look forward to having family and friends over this summer for some good times and good food.

Thanks Weber....so far so good.

Grill master seal of approval

After 12 years on my last Weber Genesis Gold I decided to retire her for the new E-330. Assembly was easy. The temp control and even heat make it very easy to cook multiple items at one time. For steak, the sear station is absolutely great! I have done 2" thick strips with ease. The new stainless steel grates and flavor bars are very solid and comparable to a Blaze or other higher end grills. The grill is well made and sturdy. If you just want to grill and not have a piece of art on your deck, this one is for you. -BD

HOW MANY MORE GRILLING SEASONS...

...are you (like I did for WAAAAY too long) going to jealously ogle your friend's, family member's, or neighbor's Weber Genesis before you get your own?!?!

You're reading these reviews (just like I used to) because you know you want one.

How many more 5 out of 5 star ratings do you need? How many months will you search the internet for that elusive website that has less than a 99.99% recommendation rating? How many more times will you make multiple trips, to multiple retailers and/or hardware stores, looking for an aftermarket or retro fitting part for your 2 year old grill that they don't make parts for? How many more testimonials like "I wish I'd bought one of these 10 years ago", or "I'd never own anything else" do you need to hear from EVERYONE that owns one? How many more apologies do you have to make to guests/family for incorrect cooking doneness because of uneven heat and/or flare ups on your current grill?

I decided recently that my answers to these same questions that I was asking myself was: ZERO, and I BOUGHT ONE!!! Put it together myself, 2.5 hours including unpacking. If you are able to, I recommend you assemble it yourself also, you will get an even greater appreciation for it's build quality.

SUPERIOR QUALITY, SUPERIOR COOKING, SUPERIOR VALUE

Buy it today (or as soon as you can). I did, and I wish I had years ago. Weber fan for life.

Love it...except...

I love this grill, the cooking performance and quality are unbeatable. The only disappointment is the grates. I've had it for about a year and a half and the grates have chipped and rusted. I just bought replacement stainless grates, something I don't think I should have to do for an $800 grill. My last Weber gas grill lasted 15 years, I'm sure this one will too. Just not with the original grates.

Nice gas grill

Well my weber family this my 1st gas grill I've ever own and i must say it nice pretty nice. I always do alot of research before I buy things and the reviews on this gas grill were all 5 stars. Now i know i could've bought some other brands grill thats cheaper but i wanted quality and that's what I got. This gas grill cooks very good and even across the whole cooking area. Im really enjoying this grill i cooked chicken breast and flat iron steak and they turn out great. Weber makes some great products i own a 22.5 WSM and a 26.75 weber kettle charcoal grill as well and I'm planning on getting a 18 inch smokey joe portable grills then I'm through buying grills for a while i also have the weber covers for all 3 grills. P.S. Thanks again Weber

Unbelievable grill!

Bought the EP-330 a few weeks ago. Had fun putting it together (seriously). A fan of assembling things myself to get to know them better and be able to foresee any quality issues. I am a big time griller and always made due with cheap gas grills while focusing on charcoal or smoking when it counted. got sick of replacing parts on old grills that cost more than the grill. Haven't had this very long, but first impressions are worth every penny. heats fast and even. Sear burner makes steaks a fool proof science. Couldn't be happier. Everything about the grill says quality.

Weber grills for life.

Many of the positives that other reviewers have stated are the same for me: solid, sturdy craftsmanship, fantastic grilling experience, great sear burner, and side burner. A few additional things I like are the amount of heat generated by these burners is quite substantial. While the Weber grills don't have the same gaudy BTU figures that other grills boast, my grill can get very hot in a short period of time.

I also love the warranty and the great customer service that Weber provides. I have called Weber on two separate occasions about rusty parts that had developed over time. I was told to provide pictures, serial number, proof of purchase and shipping information. Weber shipped the replacement items to me free of charge without any trouble. This is a company that you can trust.

The only issue with my grill is that there are some hot spots in the cooking area. However, I simply have adjusted to these accordingly.

I once thought that Weber grills were very expensive and over-priced, but you get a great quality product backed by a great warranty and company. I have had my grill for over two years and I do not regret at all the money I spent to purchase it.

If you love grilling, make an investment in a Weber grill. You won't regret it.

Amazing Build Quality

I chose to purchase my new Weber EP-330 in the box instead of having someone assemble it for me at the store. I enjoy assembling things and this project took me 2+ hours; I took my time and it was getting dark when I finished.

I have never enjoyed assembling something as much as I did this grill! It was a complex, time-consuming task but worth every minute it took. The instructions were precise, very clear and with great illustrations. Every part was in the box and there was one extra lid hinge pin. What impressed me the most was the quality of the design and fabrication of the parts. Almost every part fit together flawlessly. It took a little coaxing to get the side burner hose to snap in place, but this has to be a very tight connection since it has gas flowing through it. I also had to put some extra effort into mounting the left side table onto the tabs; not a real issue in the grand scheme of things.

Putting this grill together myself allows me to better understand the maintenance of it. Since I screwed every screw and part in place, I know exactly how to take it apart for cleaning. It was the best 2+ hours I have spent in a very long time knowing that I am going to get many hours and years of grilling pleasure from my new Weber.

Highly recommended! And, for people who enjoy building things, get it in the box!
