Great Company

This is not a review of our Weber Genesis grill, which would be five stars across the board, but a comment on Weber Stephen Company. We bought our Genesis grill ten years ago and it has had heavy use all these years. It has always performed flawlessly. About a week ago, my 5'1" wife opened the lid and it snapped off at the hinges. We called Weber Stephen and found that our grill was still under warranty. A new lid was shipped and arrived today; no cost, not even shipping. I can think of very few companies that manufacture a really great product and even fewer who stand behind their product like Weber. While I could always recommend Weber as a grill to my family and friends, it's even more impressive when you consider the company behind the product. Congratulations, Weber. You have a customer and a cheerleader for life.

Part 2 - FIRST WEBER PURCHASE, DEFINITELY NOT THE LAST!

I've had this grill for over 2 years and I'm still in love with it. The warranty comes in real handy as I have received a new side table (small rust spots), and new control knobs (broken chrome ring) for free since not everything is perfect. I'm building my collection of accessories and even bought my dad a new Weber Spirit 3-burner for father's day. In my opinion, the quality you get from this grill is definitely worth the price and I will always recommend Weber to anyone who hints they are looking for a new grill.

Outstanding grill.

I'm learning new and creative ways to utilize the Weber. I'm purchasing the smoker for the gas grill and I've very excited to try it out.

Lesson Learned

My first Weber Gas grill lasted more than 25 years. I decided that I didn't need to spend as much as a Weber costs to have a grill. The grill I bought to replace my finally dying Weber was a well-known brand with good recommendation and about 64% less expensive. It lasted about 3 years before the interior rusted and I was looking at over $100.00 for replacement parts, which would put the cost at 1/2 of the cost of the Weber.
I learned that unless I follow my experience and use my good sense, I will end up wasting money when purchasing a grill. I am happy to have my new Weber Genesis!

second one

I had my first Weber gas grill for over 15 years. While looking for another grill I seriously checked other brands. I thought that other brands would be offering a near quality grill for much less. Besides being satisfied with my other Weber grill there was no comparison in the quality of the build. If you are searching just grab the side table and give each grill a shake. None are as solid as the Weber. Because I know the quality I am willing to pay the price. That's from the Spirit up to the top of the line. My new grill is a Genesis Special Edition with stainless cooking grates. There has only been a little adjustment because of the change in the direction of the burners from the last grill I had. I figure I probably will only have to buy two more grills in my life time. They will be Webers.

My Birthday Present From Wife and Kids

Ok, this is a replacement grill for my 1990 Father's Day Present. A Weber Genesis One that has never failed me, in fact the only failure has been my not feeding it propane on time! My Kids have told me for 10 years to get a new grill, but I was just too proud to have my old Genesis. Who else could claim to have a 24 year old grill? Ok, so my Wife and Kids conspired to get me to go to Lowe's and pick it out. I was looking at the Spirit E-310, but didn't have everything I really wanted, so I eyed the Genesis E-310, really didn't want the stainless steel cooking grates that the upper models had. So the E-310 fit the bill. Lowe's is assembling it, so they probably won't make the mistake I did with the Genesis One of putting the tank level indicator on the wrong leg. I can't wait till Wednesday when it's delivered to cook on it. Planning a Birthday Party for next weekend just to show off my new Baby. I just know that I am still going to miss and recall many a fond evening with a beer, steaks on and bragging about my old Genesis One. I'm going to miss it, but my new Weber should fill her shoes, big as they are!

I'd buy one, but my Weber Genesis Silver still works!

I realize I'm not reviewing the current model -- my Weber is over ten years old! Even though I leave it out uncovered through the winter, all I do is clean it up each Spring and it's good as new!

Weber's quality is just amazing. Quality like this makes me proud to be American; Weber really builds things right.

My advice to someone buying a new Weber grill is to buy a larger, three-burner model. You're going to have this grill a really long time, and the third burner is really useful for proper grilling. I'll upgrade to a three burner model as soon as this grill breaks -- which won't be any time soon. Besides, the local Home Depot still carries replacement parts.

Should have bought a Weber grill to start with!!

After buying different grills from Char-Broil and having them rust out and having to replaced parts about every 14-16 months, I saw a Weber Grill Genesis 310 at Lowe's in Orange Park, FL for less than 650 I took the money that Lowe's refunded me and purchased the Weber 310. Will never go back to Char Broil. Weber keep the recipes coming. Thanks

Nothing better, nothing compares

Spent my 20's 30's and 40's with a Weber Kettle and a Smokey Joe. I still own the Smokey Joe (going on 25 years old!). I became a convert to gas grilling about 10 years ago when a friend gave me a Genesis Silver. It was well used but worked perfectly. About 3 years ago, I gave the Genesis to a friend (not sure where it is now) and bought a Genesis 310 (no side burner, cast iron grates). There are not enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe this grill. I've cooked everything from burgers to prime rib, Portabellos to Zucchini and salmon to scallops. There is NOTHING you can cook inside that does not cook better and taste better than on the Weber grill.

About a year ago, I also bought a Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5". I'm now the neighborhood go-to guy for ribs, pulled pork and homemade bacon.

Ah.... life is good!

Grill Masterpiece

The Weber Genesis is certainly the "grill of grills". Rating this Masterpiece a "5" gives it a huge injustice, it's definitely worthy of the Bo Derek rating of a "10". Had a few other gas grills in my past and this one by far blows the lid off of all of them. Do yourself a favor and make this the last grill you'll ever own.

Got another one!

I love my new Weber grill.

I have had 4 Webers in the past 2 Charcoal Kettle grills, a Charcoal Smoky Joe and a 1980s vintage Weber LP Grill.

During my time away (with a cast aluminum Ducane), weber has made a lot of improvement to set it apart. The double hood, the improved flavorer system and the overall quality are now improved, although my Webers and all been great performers!

I can't say enough positive things about the grill and the company. They are both first rate, and I highly recumbent their grills.

Waited A Long Time

I have wanted a Weber grill for a long time. Well I finally purchased one. We have had numerous grills over the years and I am always replacing them after a few years. I have done a lot of research and this is the top of the line grill. I used it for the first time last night and it was everything I expected.

The grill I have always wanted

Love it! I have been grilling for 30 years - started with the Weber charcoal grill. That, by the way is still around. I gave it to my friend when he got an apartment - he had it for ten years. He gave it to one of his friends - they still have it.
I have had other non Weber grills over the years and you truly get what you pay for. The longest lasted three years with replacement parts starting after one.
I FINALLY got what I should have bought years ago! Sturdy construction. Consistent cooking temperatures and cooking times. You can literally cook just about anything you can cook in the oven or stovetop with it and cleanup is a breeze. And what's better than cooking outside?
A truly fine piece of equipment. I would have given it five stars but having had it for under a year I'm not qualified to rate the durability at this time.

Truly a great grill!

I've owned this grill for three years now and it's been amazing. My last grill got rusty and fell apart after only two years. This one has literally not one spec of rust on it. The lid still looks like new and it cleans up amazingly easy. The other nice thing is that it heats up fast, so I don't have to wait 20 minutes to start cooking. We do pizzas, burgers, steaks, pork chops, veggies and even fruit on it, all with great success. Mine has the cast iron grates which hold the heat and give a nice sear. The tank weight is a nice touch even though it's not 100% accurate, it gives you a good general idea of how much propane you have left, pretty smart idea. All in all, this is a great grill that will last four times longer than others costing half as much, so in the end, this is a way better deal. Buy the best and only cry once (when you pay for it), buy on the cheap and cry over and over (every time you have to fix or replace it). I have had such a great experience with this grill that I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker recently and couldn't be happier with it as well. Keep up the good work Weber!

Oh my goodness, it is raining and my grill is getting wet...

Ok, maybe a bit ridiculous but I just bought my first Weber gas grill. Put it together yesterday and today it rains - feels miserable. I have had Weber charcoal grills and was given another brand gas grill a while back. I can't wait to start grilling. I just know the money will be well spent and I expect to have my grill until I die. I'd like to put that off for awhile...

If you need a push in the right directions for your gas grill purchase - get the Weber!!!

Love it, love it, love it!

Retired my handed down 1990 red Genesis Weber and I picked up the E-310 in espresso color. Oh man! What a grill! Solid, looks awesome on the patio, grills like a champ and easy to clean up. Drip pan and catch work great. It's a Weber!

First Weber Purchase, Definitely Not The Last!

I sat on the thought of buying a Weber for over a year, needing something to replace my rusted, beat down other grill. I needed something big enough to feed my family, but something that wasn't going to die out on me in 2-3 years after grilling about 3 times a week. The Genesis was the answer. I hope that later I can share the same stories as the people who say their Webers have lasted them over 10 years. I hope I can get my money's worth for how much this baby costs! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to step up their game!
