Pound for pound...

Pound for pound, dollar for dollar there is not a better grill on the market. I'm a fan of the cast iron grates as the heat retention is tremendous! Had a few corrosion issues around the handle gaskets and logo plate, but smooth sailing with Weber's customer service! They shipped me an entire new handle rig free of charge, along with a Weber apron for my troubles. The logo plate still looks subpar, but can't be replaced without a new hood...I'll worry about that if the integrity of the hood itself is compromised...so far so good! Was a bit disappointed in the cost vs performance of the grill cover (as it cracked severely after one year), but again Weber stepped to the plate and quickly (and painlessly) honored their warranty. The perfect grill for someone who cares more about performance and grilling perfection than bells and whistles. I just wish that Weber would market a cast iron wood chip smoker box, similar to the Brinkman one I purchased.

Great grill! Better customer service

Love my new grill. The most even cooking grill I have ever used. My center burner would not ignite and 5 minutes in the phone and a replacement was on the way.

New Grill Review - Very Pleased!!

I am the type of person that researches everything. Ok, over-researches. I went to Lowes and Ace Hardware to look at the grills that Weber had to offer. My previous grill was purchased 11 years ago from Sears and I used it just about every day. But, Sears discontinued it years ago and there are no replacement parts for it. Time for a new one! Since replacement parts were a pain in the butt to find for my Sears grill, I decided that it was time to step up and buy a Weber.

I appreciated Weber's website and online review section which made my decision much easier. I went with the E-310 in the Espresso Porcelain Enamel 3-burner. I did not get the side burner because I have never used it in the past - ever. I purchased the grill from Lowes and I had to special order it because I needed a natural gas grill. Lead time was about 5 days. Set up was very easy and it only took about 1 1/2 hours. Lowes did offer to assemble it for free but it would take several more days and my daughter's boyfriend surprised me by picking it up from the store and assembling it for me. Connection to my existing gas line was a breeze. The grill started on the first try and I did let it burn off for about 30 minutes. It heated to 350 degrees in about 10 minutes and consistently kept the temperature during the entire cooking process.

Top Tip: I did not by the model with the rotisserie option (about double the price) because I purchased the rotisserie accessory for $89 (they are wonderful). I am totally impressed with the quality of craftsmanship and materials. the hood is heavy but for a reason!

I would highly recommend the Weber Genesis E-310 grill!

Best grill I have ever owned!

I love my Weber Genesis e-310 grill. I've owned my Weber Genesis for a little under a year now. It’s the best grill I have ever owned! The last grill I had was a Master Forge grill I bought at Lowe’s. It only lasted 4 seasons before the drip tray started to rust out and that was after I had replaced it once before during the extended warranty period I purchased. Never again will I buy a cheap gas grill made in China.

A lot of my friends and family thought I was nuts for paying $700 for a gas grill. I look at it this way, it’s an investment. Yeah, could I have gotten another Master Forge grill and paid about half of what I paid for my Weber? Sure I could have, but I know I would be just been replacing it again after a few years.

One of the biggest things I like about my Weber Genesis gill besides the fact that it cooks food perfectly is that the grease tray slides completely out for easy cleaning and that the drip pans can be removed as well. I don’t know how long the disposable drip trays are supposed to last, but I got a whole year out of it before I had to throw it out and replace it with a new one. I routinely remove and clean the drip tray, grease pan, flavorizer bars and heat deflectors. I have noticed a minimal amount of surface rust on the bottom of couple of the flavorizer bars, but I would say that is normal wear and tear.

My only complaint, albeit a minor one is that the side tables are made of stainless steel and tend to scratch very easily. After owning it for a short period of time I managed to scratch it. A couple of the scratches were rather deep and fairly noticeable. I called customer support and they were very helpful and sent me a replacement shelf at no cost. I tend to be a little more careful now and watch what I place on the side tables. I highly recommend this grill. It’s worth every penny.

Mr.

Grill acquired 1/30/10. Replaced igniter in 2013. The back panel and bottom panel (that supports the LP tank) began to rust through in 2014. They are now severely rusted. Also, the lid thermometer has stopped working. The grill has been covered with Weber cover since purchased. Cost of parts to repair exceed $160, and I am pretty sure I cannot replace the bottom panel myself. I have had Weber grills for over 20 years, but this is the worst ever. I would not recommend this grill.

The Weber Grill works Great but the bottom stand rust

The Weber Grill works Great but the bottom stand rust, I have kept my grill covered with a Weber grill cover. The base by the rollers rust though, I have had my grill for 4 years and must replace the warranty only covers the base for 2years, for the cost I would not recommend Weber until this problem is fixed!

Inadequate casters!

Overall, it seems to be made well enough except the clearance between the burners and the rotisserie could be a little more. The shocker is the casters! Not only are they too flimsy for the weight of the grill and equipment but the design of them needs a perfectly flat hard surface or they will hang up. They are unusable on a brick patio or a concrete slab that is not completely flat.

This is the first day and I can't roll the grill around our patio without it hanging up. I will have to find a solution before we can use it at all!!

Very disappointing!!

Lesson Learned - Side to side burners are critical (not front to back)

Purchased this about 5 years ago and am realizing that the burners run front to back instead of side to side thus eliminating ease of direct or indirect cooking. If you're buying a grill, make sure the burners run side to side. This will enable you to shut off the back burner and use the full width of the grill surface for indirect cooking. You're control knobs should be on the side of the grill, not the front. Weber should create a replacement burner set that corrects this problem. As it is, there are no replacement burners listed on their own web site. Must have realized their mistake and stopped making them. I own a Genesis E310 LP grill. Don't get me wrong, Weber makes a great product...I just bought the wrong one.

Thanks Dad....Weber for Life!

When I was 25, I inherited my Dads Old Weber. 19 years and only 2 internal rebuilds later, the shroud finally broke. It was time for a new Weber. I am now into my 3rd year with my new Genesis E-310 and it still looks like the day I brought it home. This grill is a work horse and I expect it will last just as long as my Dads old Weber.

THIS WEBER GENESIS E-310 HAS CHANGED MY LIFE

Turning 40 was difficult enough without the news from my Doctor that because I've been overweight my whole life that I was on a freight train to diabetes. Her advice of completely changing my diet forced me to start cooking at home and making better choices. Over the next couple of months I absolutely wore out my old Spirit model with high protein meat selections like chicken, beef, and fish not to mention adding more vegetables to my diet than a rabbit could eat. I'm happy to say that I've lost nearly 40 pounds in 4 months and I rewarded my self with a much BIGGER Weber Genesis E-310 so I could finally make whole chickens, turkeys, and roasts. Just a few months in I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE. Everyone loves their Weber but I'm serious when I say.. mine might have saved my life!

Awesome!!!

Best grill money can buy and customer service second to none! I have called Weber twice because of two problems! I own four weber grills/smokers. One was a faulty thermostat, the second was the grate rusted some after 3 years. They immediately took my word for it and sent new replacements the following day! Unbelievable product, warranty and even better customer service! If you don't buy a Weber then you are buying an inferior product!

A great investment!

I recently purchased a Weber Genesis E-310 grill as a gift to our home and family. Indeed it was a large investment, however I am a firm believer that "you get what you pay for!" Having been a previous owner of 3 Char-broil products in the last 5 years, I found it to be a common problem that numerous components of the Char-broil products would rust away and/or fail within a year of avergae use. The Char-broil products never felt very sturdy and were obviously built with inferior quality materials, hence the premature corrosion and failure issues. My first examination of a Weber product completely impressed me! It was clearly evident how much better these grills are designed and built to last! From the thick and heavy cast iron cooking grates, heavy lid and fire-box to the storage doors and caster wheels, every component of these grills are designed to provide many years of reliable service. In fact, prior to my purchase I was able to discuss this product with friends and family who also own Weber grills. None of them had any issues or complaints and have owned them an average of 8 years! Weber grills are incredibly rigid and heavy duty. My grill arrived well packaged and not one single part was missing. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow and complete assembly took under two hours. My first few uses of the grill were a pleasure. I complimented my grill with a genuine Weber cover that will assure that the grill's appearance lasts as long as its functionality. I know that I made a well educated choice.

Grilling at our house is 365 days per year - rain, shine, sleet or snow and our Weber continues to perform and maintain its appearance like the day we brought it home.... well, with the exception of the wonderful aroma of great grilling and many, many wonderful memories. Great Company

This is not a review of our Weber Genesis grill, which would be five stars across the board, but a comment on Weber Stephen Company. We bought our Genesis grill ten years ago and it has had heavy use all these years. It has always performed flawlessly. About a week ago, my 5'1" wife opened the lid and it snapped off at the hinges. We called Weber Stephen and found that our grill was still under warranty. A new lid was shipped and arrived today; no cost, not even shipping. I can think of very few companies that manufacture a really great product and even fewer who stand behind their product like Weber. While I could always recommend Weber as a grill to my family and friends, it's even more impressive when you consider the company behind the product. Congratulations, Weber. You have a customer and a cheerleader for life.

Part 2 - FIRST WEBER PURCHASE, DEFINITELY NOT THE LAST!

I've had this grill for over 2 years and I'm still in love with it. The warranty comes in real handy as I have received a new side table (small rust spots), and new control knobs (broken chrome ring) for free since not everything is perfect. I'm building my collection of accessories and even bought my dad a new Weber Spirit 3-burner for father's day. In my opinion, the quality you get from this grill is definitely worth the price and I will always recommend Weber to anyone who hints they are looking for a new grill.

Lesson Learned

My first Weber Gas grill lasted more than 25 years. I decided that I didn't need to spend as much as a Weber costs to have a grill. The grill I bought to replace my finally dying Weber was a well-known brand with good recommendation and about 64% less expensive. It lasted about 3 years before the interior rusted and I was looking at over $100.00 for replacement parts, which would put the cost at 1/2 of the cost of the Weber.
I learned that unless I follow my experience and use my good sense, I will end up wasting money when purchasing a grill. I am happy to have my new Weber Genesis!

I had my first Weber gas grill for over 15 years. While looking for another grill I seriously checked other brands. I thought that other brands would be offering a near quality grill for much less. Besides being satisfied with my other Weber grill there was no comparison in the quality of the build. If you are searching just grab the side table and give each grill a shake. None are as solid as the Weber. Because I know the quality I am willing to pay the price. That's from the Spirit up to the top of the line. My new grill is a Genesis Special Edition with stainless cooking grates. There has only been a little adjustment because of the change in the direction of the burners from the last grill I had. I figure I probably will only have to buy two more grills in my life time. They will be Webers.

My Birthday Present From Wife and Kids

Ok, this is a replacement grill for my 1990 Father's Day Present. A Weber Genesis One that has never failed me, in fact the only failure has been my not feeding it propane on time! My Kids have told me for 10 years to get a new grill, but I was just too proud to have my old Genesis. Who else could claim to have a 24 year old grill? Ok, so my Wife and Kids conspired to get me to go to Lowe's and pick it out. I was looking at the Spirit E-310, but didn't have everything I really wanted, so I eyed the Genesis E-310, really didn't want the stainless steel cooking grates that the upper models had. So the E-310 fit the bill. Lowe's is assembling it, so they probably won't make the mistake I did with the Genesis One of putting the tank level indicator on the wrong leg. I can't wait till Wednesday when it's delivered to cook on it. Planning a Birthday Party for next weekend just to show off my new Baby. I just know that I am still going to miss and recall many a fond evening with a beer, steaks on and bragging about my old Genesis One. I'm going to miss it, but my new Weber should fill her shoes, big as they are!

I'd buy one, but my Weber Genesis Silver still works!

I realize I'm not reviewing the current model -- my Weber is over ten years old! Even though I leave it out uncovered through the winter, all I do is clean it up each Spring and it's good as new!

Weber's quality is just amazing. Quality like this makes me proud to be American; Weber really builds things right.

My advice to someone buying a new Weber grill is to buy a larger, three-burner model. You're going to have this grill a really long time, and the third burner is really useful for proper grilling. I'll upgrade to a three burner model as soon as this grill breaks -- which won't be any time soon. Besides, the local Home Depot still carries replacement parts.

Should have bought a Weber grill to start with!!

After buying different grills from Char-Broil and having them rust out and having to replaced parts about every 14-16 months, I saw a Weber Grill Genesis 310 at Lowe's in Orange Park, FL for less than 650 I took the money that Lowe's refunded me and purchased the Weber 310. Will never go back to Char Broil. Weber keep the recipes coming. Thanks

Nothing better, nothing compares

Spent my 20's 30's and 40's with a Weber Kettle and a Smokey Joe. I still own the Smokey Joe (going on 25 years old!). I became a convert to gas grilling about 10 years ago when a friend gave me a Genesis Silver. It was well used but worked perfectly. About 3 years ago, I gave the Genesis to a friend (not sure where it is now) and bought a Genesis 310 (no side burner, cast iron grates). There are not enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe this grill. I've cooked everything from burgers to prime rib, Portabellos to Zucchini and salmon to scallops. There is NOTHING you can cook inside that does not cook better and taste better than on the Weber grill.

About a year ago, I also bought a Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5". I'm now the neighborhood go-to guy for ribs, pulled pork and homemade bacon.

Ah.... life is good!

Grill Masterpiece

The Weber Genesis is certainly the "grill of grills". Rating this Masterpiece a "5" gives it a huge injustice, it's definitely worthy of the Bo Derek rating of a "10". Had a few other gas grills in my past and this one by far blows the lid off of all of them. Do yourself a favor and make this the last grill you'll ever own.
