Delicious American pancakes for breakfast or dessert!
In the kitchen:
- Melt the butter. Scrape out the seeds from the vanilla pod. Combine all the ingredients and beat the batter until smooth.
At the barbecue:
- Prepare the grill for direct high heat. Place the cast-iron Griddle on the GBS cooking grate, pour some oil on the griddle and let it heat up.
- Pour some batter on the griddle – 3-4 small separate spoonfuls – and let the pancakes cook until golden-brown. 1-2 min. on each side.
Tip: Serve with maple syrup and fresh berries, if desired. For variation, try adding zest from an unwaxed orange and/or lemon to the batter.
