The following specific terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) govern your participation in the contest “BBQ Gifts for Father’s Day: Best Dad Contest” (the “Contest”). By participating in the Contest the following Specific Terms are expressly accepted.

The Weber general terms and conditions (the “General Terms”) are applied to all matters not already covered by the Specific Terms. The General Terms can be accessed HERE.

1. The Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Weber-Stephen Products (Japan) GK (the “Promoter”).

2. The Contest

2.1 The title of the contest is “BBQ Gifts for Father’s Day: Best Dad Contest”

2.2 The Contest consists of receiving a set of prizes including Weber accessories for winners of the contest. Contest is based on owning and using a Weber authorized grill, any grill. Some of the selected barbecues include the following: Original Kettle, Compact Kettle, Performer Premium, Genesis II, Spirit II, Q 1250 and Q1400, Smokey Joe Premium and Go-Anywhere.

2.3 The prizes that the winners would get:

• Winner: 1 year’s supply worth of “Weber BBQ Support” including BBQ food (mainly meat) along with Weber accessories to go with the food and grill.
• 2nd place: ¥30,000 worth of Weber accessories. Matched with owner’s grill.
• 3rd place: ¥10,000 worth of Weber accessories. Matched with owner’s grill.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Contest is addressed exclusively to Japan residents, aged 20 years or over who bought a selected grill from either:

a. The Promoter; or

b. A participating dealer who is authorised by the Promoter (the “Authorised Dealer”) and operates in Japan (the “Participating Countries”); or

c. Already owns a Weber authorized grill

4. How to participate in the Contest 

4.1. Participants are to submit not more than 3 photos or videos in a single post on Instagram that show themselves with their family and their Weber grill in the most creative and attractive way.

4.2 Post video or photo to Instagram with tagging Weber Japan account (@Weber_Japan), and hashtag #bestdadweber. Make sure your account is public so we may reach out to you if you win.

4.3 The winners will be selected based on the creativity, attractiveness and quality of their post by the Promoter in fair judgement. The Promoter will consider all the submitted contest entries and will announce one grand prize winner and 2 consolation prize winners based on the aforesaid aspects.

4.4 The sole discretion of choosing the contest winner lies with the Promoter and no enquiries will be entertained regarding the winning criterion. The decision of the Promoter will be final and no communication in this regard shall be entertained by the Promoter. 

5. Cancellation

5.1 If any provision or part-provision of these Specific Terms is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Specific Terms.

6. Limitation of liability

6.1 Events may occur that result in the Promoter extending, refusing, reclaiming, cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Contest and/or these terms at any point and for any reason. These may be due to a third party's illegal activity, technical difficulties and/or any other reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly you  agree that the Promoter shall have no liability as a result thereof.

6.2 In case that the Promoter is unable to supply the prizes because of any unanticipated factor outside its control, it will ensure relevant timely communication with applicants and consumers and, in case of any likely detriment, offer a reasonable substitute product.

7. Data protection

7.1 The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the PRIVACY POLICY.

8. General

8.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Contest. 

8.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Contest where it becomes necessary to do so.

8.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by Japanese law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
