Have you heard of Weber Store Day?
Well our 2019 event happening on Saturday the 9th of November is set to be our most exciting yet - as it will be our first!
This year we are partnering with Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, OzHarvest, and bringing a flavour sensation to the people all in the name of charity! Our aim? To promote reducing food waste and raise valuable funds for Australian families in need.
Community is at the heart of Weber. As family owned and operated businesses, each Weber Store connects deeply with its guests and the neighbourhoods they have the privilege of serving. A hefty goal has been set to raise enough funds to provide 60,000 meals to those less fortunate in our local communities. We’re so excited and passionate about achieving this goal, that we’ve put together some amazing ways the community can get involved!
The Weber and OzHarvest teams have put their tongs together to create a sausage with a purpose. The limited-edition sausage has been designed in collaboration between Laura Romeo, Weber Grill Expert and Travis Harvey, Executive Chef at OzHarvest.
Every Weber Store nationally is taking part in our ‘Feed for a Fiver’ gourmet sausage sizzle, and we want to encourage everyone to get down to your local Weber Store and put $5 towards the amazing work OzHarvest are doing. In return, you’ll receive a plush gourmet roll from Bakers Delight, filled with the limited-edition lamb sausage, your choice of both onion and cheese accompaniments, which can then be topped by Weber’s in-house tomato or barbecue sauce, specially made for this exciting event.
If you want to extend the flavour experience a little further, Weber, together with OzHarvest, are hosting Masterclass sessions across the country to help you up your barbecue skills before summer and raise additional funds to support Aussie families in need.
Join in on the fun at one of eight locations across the country on Weber Store Day.
Presented by Weber’s elite team of experienced barbecuers, the masterclasses are free to book, and the three unique sessions include:
- 10.00am: ‘The Ultimate Charcoal Roast Chicken’
- 11.30am: ‘How to Master the Perfect Steak’
- 2.00pm: ‘How to Barbecue Vegetables for the Ultimate Flavour’
