Rated 5 de 5 de par Weber customer service shines again! originally my weber had an issue with the summit kamado emblem being installed crooked. After contacting customer service and expressing my concerns i didn't get anything resolved and was dissapointed at first. Then Weber reached back out to me and sent me a replacement shelf that had the emblem mounted correctly. Thank you Weber! Once again you showed me how good your customer service is and why I continue to be a Life long Weber customer.

Rated 3 de 5 de par It's the little things that make a big impact I was ready to upgrade my Kettle to the version with a table/cart. I saw this and realized it was probably time to upgrade my entire system. This is better and nicer (and a lot more expensive) but still has issues that one has to deal with or solve. It was a bit confusing putting this together. Instructions are all drawings with no text. The drawings show three different types of screws and X off which ones that aren’t used for that step but I only received two types of screws. And if you don’t look closely there is a step where you don’t use washers for the large ring. I installed them before I realized the difference. Maybe it gets too hot there and melts the washer? There are steps that are hard to tell exactly what angle you are looking at. It gets built but with a lot of time just trying to get it right and maybe redoing it… And of course disposing of the cardboard and pallet. The coating that protects the table top was hard to get off. I’ve bought other items that use that clear protector which easily pulls off. This you have to roll with your fingers as it tears off in pieces. In the corners I couldn’t get it completely off unless I scrape it off and scratch the finish. The cooking grate is uneven with the two hinged parts. And why would the hinges bend up over the top so that they stick up instead down underneath? When setting up to cook you can hook the cooking grill over the back leg. But you must remove the center piece or it will fall out. Wish there was something more secure and you could leave the center piece on. As it is I set it on a couple of big rocks nearby to lay it on. The vent on the lid is loose so when you open the lid it will slide around opening or closing the holes. And the handle will fly around and bang on the lid. I like the vent but it should have been a little tighter so that it stayed in place. Adjustable tightness would have been even better. The one touch cleaning is not. Still have to brush out a lot of ash. The wheels are hard plastic so it’s noisy and vibrates the heck out of everything when you move it around on just about any hard surface. I bought new rubber wheels/tires to soften up the ride. The utensil holder is a waste. Only holds 3 items but too close together and horrible hooks that easily bend. It comes off too easy as well. The wire shelves on the bottom rattle around making a huge racket. I put down some some adhesive backed bumpers to stop that. I like the gas ignite feature but I still use a chimney starter. It’s a lot faster and even. The charcoal bag is ok except that it’s hard to close it tight. Stink bugs have invaded the PNW and they like to hide in bags and other dark places for the winter. Not sure how exactly to get it tight yet except when its full it works ok… They charge $100 extra for the cover. Pollen, dust, side rains, etc even under cover. I think everyone would want one especially during the slower seasons. Why not just include it (extra $$)? It’s not that thick like the older one I have on my Kettle grill. I love the cooking unit itself with the nice thick walls and the two levels to put the fuel. Includes two charcoal baskets for indirect grilling which I also had for my Kettle. The gas starter works, at least starting out new. The wire shelves on the bottom are great to store things. I like the stainless steel table but I am having a tough time finding a decent mat that fits. I don’t want to scratch it. Overall, it’s a great unit but they skimped on quite a few things that kinda takes the fun out of it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Still in love after 2 and a half years use. I’ve owned more Weber products than I can remember. Gas, Charcoal, Smokers. Honestly all of them are well designed, durable and turn out excellent food that will impress neighbors and family. But this Summit is absolutely the very best cream of the crop unit that the folks at Weber have made. You can do anhing on this machine that you can do on an egg, kettle or Smokey Mountain. Excellent design much more durable than a ceramic egg and much more pleasing to the eye. A masterpiece
