I absolutely love it
My wife and I saw this at Lowes back in April, I thought it was cool, but didn’t think I had much use for it it. Considering I have a Weber Summit Gold gas grill on my deck that I use all the time.
Well, my wife surprised me for Father’s Day with the Performer deluxe. It’s so well made, from the ignition flame, to the ash catcher (which is simple to remove and clean) to the ash cleaning lever, to the lid holder, I can go on. Needless to say I love it. Now I use it more than my gas grill. Everyone knows there’s no better burger than a charcoal cooked burger.
On last thing Weber costumer service is the best, if you should need them!

Reasons to Grill
I’ve been enjoying my Grill almost every other day, with steaks, burgers, hot dogs, Leg of Lamb, Short Ribs, Grilled Salmon, Corn on the Cob, Grilled pineapple, My kitchen is looking very lonely right now since the only time we use it is to wash our dishes, and the Refrigerator and Freezer, also our kitchen table isn’t being used unless it is raining outside. If I had anything to complain it’s that the “Grill Rests” are not long enough from the edge of the bowl. So after I start the fire dump the coals where I want them, and replace the. grill, and start cooking not till then do I notice that I missed a rest, and my screen is tilted.

New in Box parts missing/scratched/broke/chipped
I just received this as a late Father's Day gift. During the initial inspection and assembly found the wheel axle missing, leg brackets broke, the table scratched, the lid chipped and some hardware missing. Was not impressed with the packaging of this grill. Sort of afraid to light it with the chipped lid. I don't want it coming off anymore.
Bought a new Genesis II last year and it was perfect out of the box. So I know they can do it, but missed the mark on this one.
