Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth It Worth the additional cost over porcelain. The porcelain have ~2-3 year useful life before the coating releases and the steel is exposed and the rust process starts. SS grates are heavy duty, they are SS throughout and will not rust. Original grates are fine when you buy; but when they must be replaced; upgrade your grill; you won’t be disappointed
