We have a fantastic team here at the Weber Grill Academy, from different backgrounds and experiences. From hospitality lifers, BBQ pit bosses, school students, multi-skilled Mums and Dads, a classically trained chef to ex-military turned foodies – they all offer something unique and valuable to the mix and help keep the cogs turning at the Weber Grill Academy.
All our event leaders are on the Weber Grill Master pathway program. This program develops knowledge, confidence, and competence across the product range, culinary, media and presentation skills. From a base level of Barbecue Consultant to Grill Master, individuals log over 1,200 hours of cooking across the Weber range.

Jacinda is more than a grill enthusiast; she's a magician who transforms everyday meals into BBQ masterpieces. Her culinary adventure spans Sunday roasts with smoky cherry wood, burritos sizzling with grilled corn and lime, and Thai curries kissed by the barbecue's flames. As a Weber Grill Expert and Grill Academy host, she crafts interactive, confidence-boosting culinary experiences that resemble intimate dinner parties with friends.
Jacinda's quest for culinary excellence has led her to work with some top chefs, absorbing inspiration from Spanish paella to Vietnamese pho. She believes that barbecuing can enhance every cuisine on the planet, making her an explorer of new flavours and techniques. With Jacinda, your taste buds embark on thrilling barbecue adventures.
Tom's BBQ journey began in childhood and evolved into a seven-year obsession. For him, BBQ is about one golden rule: food leaves the grill when it's ready – not when you are. Whether it's succulent low-and-slow pork ribs or perfectly grilled chicken thighs, Tom's palate knows no bounds. Beyond savoury meats, Tom's BBQ prowess extends to baking pizza, bread, and cheesecake on the barbecue.
But it’s not all been easy sailing! He's faced BBQ nightmares like 'thermal events' and even set a Christmas pork roast ablaze; but he believes this puts him in good stead to help guests master their home barbecue!
Specialising in low and slow American-style BBQ, he's transformed his passion into a career at the Weber Grill Academy. Tom's joy lies in sharing his skills with like-minded enthusiasts, turning novices into confident BBQ cooks.

With a background in 5-star hotels worldwide and two decades spent in China, Thailand, and Singapore, Tal is a culinary globetrotter. Now, he fuses Weber's magic with his culinary wisdom at the Weber Grill Academy, empowering others to achieve impressive results at home.
