Seasoned with the warmth of Weber All Purpose Rub, then glazed in a sticky blend of honey and sesame seeds that toast as the wings roast. Expect savoury, sweet, slightly spicy heat and, if you toss in a wood chunk or two, a subtle smokiness that’s sure to be hit for six.

  • Season: Coat the chicken wings with sesame oil and Weber All Purpose Rub. Toss to coat.
  • Roast: Once the barbecue has preheated, Brush the cooking grills clean with a heatproof grill brush. Roast the wings over indirect medium-high heat, with the lid closed, for 25-35 minutes, or until golden in colour.

  • Honey Drizzle:Using tongs, remove the wings from the barbecue and place them into a heatproof bowl. Drizzle the honey over and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then toss to coat the wings.
  • Final Roast: Return the wings to the barbecue to roast for a final 10 minutes, or until deep golden. Reserve the honey bowl unless you have any concerns the wings may not yet have been cooked through.
  • Serve: Remove the wings from the barbecue and return them to the honey bowl. Finish with a light drizzle of toasted sesame oil. If you have a sweet tooth, you may also like to also drizzle over a little extra honey. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with spring onion. Serve immediately.
