Grilled Balsami Cherrie Crostini

  • Completed step 250 grams Camembert cheese, thinly sliced
  • Completed step 1 quantity of Grilled Balsamic Cherries (see Weber recipe)
  • Completed step 1 tablespoon honey
  • Completed step Fresh thyme leaves, to garnish (optional)

Instructions

These are the perfect appetiser when entertaining. The smoky, sweet, juicy, grilled balsamic cherries with creamy cheese on toasts is sure to get any party started.
  • Prepare the barbecue for cooking using direct medium heat (180°C-230°C), and pre-heat as directed. See below for information on set up methods on a Premium Gas Barbecue.

  • Once the barbecue has preheated, brush the cooking grills clean with a wire brush and adjust the settings as needed for direct medium heat.

  • Grill the baguette slices over direct medium heat, with the lid closed, for one minute. Flip the toasts over and add a slice of Camembert on top of each toast. Cook for a further one minute, with the lid closed, or until the cheese has slightly melted.
  • Remove the cheese toasts from the barbecue, top with the grilled balsamic cherries, a drizzle of honey and garnish with fresh thyme. Serve immediately.
