Kim Lefko

EVP of Marketing

Every backyard requires both a Weber Genesis and a Weber kettle.

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DO FOR WEBER?

I'm the EVP of Marketing for Weber.  I truly believe I have the best job in the company—I wake up every morning obsessing over how we continue building the love and demand for this iconic brand.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WEBER PRODUCT?

Hands down, the charcoal kettle. Our courageous founder, George Stephen was on a pursuit to grill the perfect steak. And to think the Weber kettle was born from a buoy as a result of this pursuit, is special and something we celebrate at Weber.

FAVORITE THING TO GRILL?

Pizza and cheeseburgers are the obvious answer, however these pale in comparison to the grilling repertoire of my colleagues. So I'm beginning to branch out to dishes like; pot pie, grilled pineapple, Peanut Butter Cookies or a pan of s'mores.

CHARCOAL OR GAS?

Every backyard requires both a Weber Genesis and a Weber kettle.

WHAT'S YOUR BEST GRILLING ADVICE IN ONE SENTENCE?

White smoke is good. Black smoke is BAD! And if you're looking, you aren't cooking. (I have finally overcome that constant temptation to lift the hood.)

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH GRILLING?

My third day on the job at Weber I participated in a Father's Day grilling event at our Chicago—based Grill Academy. This was a hands-on class with several grill challenges. I grew up as the youngest of four in a farming family, so we did a lot of grilling. But my first grilling experience, with several people watching and evaluating, was here at Weber.
