the Ingredients
- 600 grams Pork belly
For the Marinade:
- 4 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
- 4 tablespoons Light soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon Chinese 5 spice powder
- 3 tablespoons Castor sugar
- 3 tablespoons Chinese rice wine
Instructions
- 01 Slice the pork belly into 1.5 cm long strips and then remove the skin.
- 02 In a large bowl mix all the marinade ingredients together.
- 03 Add the pork into the marinade and allow it to marinate for at least 2 hours.
- 04 Tip: For best results marinate overnight.
- 01 Preheat grill to 200°C for 15 minutes with the lid down.
- 02 Place the pork on top of the roasting rack and shield. Then Roast the pork over indirect heat for 90 minutes.
- 03 Rotate the pork every 30 minutes throughout the cooking process and baste with marinade.
- 04 Check with a thermometer and when the pork reaches a core temperature of 70°C its cooked.
