the Ingredients

22 Okonomiyaki
  • 16 pcs. thinly sliced pork belly
  • 400 grams Round cabbage
  • 100 grams Plain flour
  • 3 tablespoons Okonomiyaki/BBQ sauce
  • 100 grams Bonito flakes
  • 300 milliliters Dashi stock
  • 50 grams Spring onions
  • Japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 Eggs


    In the kitchen:

  • 01 Finely slice round cabbage and spring onions.
  • 02 In a large mixing bowl, combine dashi, flour and eggs together and mix well.
  • 03 Mix round cabbage, spring onions and flour mix- ture together and it is ready to be griddle.
  • At the barbecue:

  • 01 Preheat grill to 200°C for 15 minutes with the lid down.
  • 02 Wipe griddle with some cooking oil.
  • 03 Spoon a quarter of mixture onto griddle and even out using a spatula. Then cook for 3 minutes on each side.
  • 04 Serve on a plate, spread Okonomiyaki sauce/BBQ sauce, squeeze Japanese mayonnaise and sprinkle bonito flakes just before serve.
