Wide World Of Weber: Episode 1

On this episode, Kyler and Kody McCormick take the Weber Traveler on the most epic off-the-grid cookout.

Backcountry Burger

  • 1/2 lb patties of 80/20 organic grass fed beef
  • Your favorite Weber Seasoning
  • 2 slices of bacon per burger
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Pepper jack cheese
  • Mayo
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • BBQ sauce
  • Sesame seed bun
  • 2 large avocados
  • ¼ diced onion
  • ½ jalapeno
  • Handful of chopped cilantro
  • salt/ pepper
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  1. Preheat grill to about 400˚F.
  2. Place bacon on the grill and cook about 5 minutes per side.
  3. Hand form your patties and season them with your favorite Weber Seasoning.
  4. Place on grill for about 4 minutes per side for medium doneness, or vary time depending on how you like your burger done.
  5. Add onion slices and buns to the grill top for about the last 2 minutes to sear.
  6. Add cheese to the burgers for the last 30 seconds and close lid. Add toppings and condiments.
  7. Remove avocado pits and scoop all avocado into a medium bowl. Add diced onion, jalapeño, minced garlic, and a handful of chopped cilantro. Gently mix. Add salt, pepper and lemon juice to taste. Mix thoroughly and then add to the top of the burger.
  8. Stare out into the wild, take a bite and remember this moment!

Chef Paris Hale

On this episode, Chef Paris Hale shows off her famous Smoked Ribs with Mango Salsa on the SmokeFire Wood Pellet Grill.

Smoked Ribs with Mango Salsa

  • SmokinGirls Dry Seasoning Blend
  • 1 Slab of Baby Back Ribs
  • 1 Mango
  • 1/2 Red Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1/2 chopped Cilantro
  • Dash of Salt
  • Sprinkle of Pepper
  • Splash of Lime Juice
  • SmokinGirls BBQ Sauce
  1. Marinate the ribs with the SmokinGirls seasoning blend. Sit in refrigerator while preparing your mango salsa.
  2. Peel and slice mango into cubes then dice tomatoes and onions. Chop the cilantro.
  3. Mix ingredients, add salt,pepper, and lime juice to taste. Add a tablespoon of SmokinGirls BBQ sauce
  4. Heat the SmokeFire EX6 to 225°F. When alerted on the Weber Connect App place the ribs on the top rack.
  5. Place probe into the rib and set temperature to 140°F using the Weber Connect App.
  6. After about 2 hours, the probe will reach an internal temperature of 140°F and the Weber Connect App will alert you.
  7. Take ribs off smoker and base with SmokinGirls BBQ sauce. Place them back on until the final internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  8. The Weber Connect will notify your smart phone when temperatures are met.
  9. Remove ribs, slice into twos, plate. Spread Mango Salsa over ribs. Serve.
