Summary

Receives loads and ensures materials are ready for distribution plant wide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Counts accurately and verifies actual qty received to PO qty
  • Receive product using the current procedures
  • Verification of all inbound product
  • Record all inbound activity on a receiving tally
  • Maintain a smooth flow of material throughout the plant
  • Random physical counts on inbound product
  • Maintain good housekeeping in all responsible areas
  • Enforce safety measures in all responsible areas
  • Monitor inbound UPS (recording and delivery)
  • Assure proper paperwork is completed for all inbound and outbound product
  • Maintain dock file of all non-inventory log sheets and inventory tally sheets
  • Must have direct and open communication with all departments
  • Required to wear personal protecting equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Language Skills      

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one0on0one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common factors and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understand to carry out instructions furnished in writing or oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized inventory situations.
