Intern Program: 

  • Attend and participate in planned events/activities during the summer  
  • Define and complete a series of goals (assigned by the department)  
  • Create, execute and measure a project or projects 
  • Develop a presentation at the conclusion of the internship based on learnings from the summer 

Summary of Responsibilities:

Assist Legal and Regulatory department with tasks and projects of various research, administrative and day-to-day nature. May include organization of processes and documents, and research into current law, regulation and best practices. 

Assist with Weber initiatives relating to trade (including monitoring of government trade activities, Weber trade filings and compiling and delivering such information to Legal), Data Privacy (assist in development, compilation and monitoring of relevant policies and programs), transactions (preliminary contract review and issue spotting), and regulatory matters as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Completion of the Project(s)
  • Organizing, updating and filing documents (may include setting up filing system)
  • Maintain electronic files
  • Assisting with miscellaneous tasksand projectsas they arise, including collaborating on projects with other departments’ interns. 

Metrics: Success for the Intern will result in: 

  • Identifying and accomplishing 1 personal goal and 3-4 business goals. 
  • A final presentation in front of the appropriate team. 
  • Commence implementation of business directives resulting from projects.  

Required Skills:  

  • Proficiency in elements of Microsoft Office 
  • Superior writing skills 
  • Familiarity with research practices, including of government regulations. 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Collaborative work ethic. 

Requested Schedule/Work Hours: 

Standard: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (hour unpaid lunch)
