The Culinary Manager is reponsible for running the day to day operations of the Grill Academy. They will be responsible for organization, cleanliness of the space as well as preparing for all in house events in terms of purchasing, execution and cleanup. This role will work closely with sales, regional teams in Canada & Latin America, marketing, and special markets team to ensure outstanding Weber brand experiences are created for all programs. The Culinary Manager reports directly to the Director of Culinary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Americas Grill Academy.
  • Be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance all things grill academy.
  • Collaborate and assist with all Americas training initiatives pertaining to existing and new rollouts.
  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing and support retailer training needs
  • Partner with Grill Master to assist with needs of BBQ Experience team.
  • Build and help foster our BBQ partners
  • Partner with Grill Master to develop new BBQ relationships
  • Collaborate with Grill Master, iGrill team, R&D, and product management on new concepts, innovation and special grill projects.
  • Collaobrate with Director of Culinary on the development and implementation of Americas Grill Academy operational process
  • Implement and assist with the Americas Grill Academy food handling and safety process.
  • Immerse with Canada & Mexico markets to understand the programs utilized by Grill Academies.
  • Support Grill Master executing Weber brand experience to top tier clients
  • Collaborate with and support Special Markets through MGA & partnership Weber brand grilling experiences

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • 10+ years experience in food service and hospitality
  • 1-3 years of high level grilling expereince and teaching & developing BBQ, food service curriculum
  • Excellent leadership skills, and the ability to clearly articulate training & BBQ experience by leveraging resources across an organization
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to cohesively work with other teams (i.e. sales, channel marketing, PR, Mexico, Canada, etc)
  • Ability to interact with customers/retailers, experience with major retailers a plus
  • Collaboration, composure and professional presence is important
  • Ability to speak spanish a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
