The inventory clerk investigates inventory discrepancies found in locations on a daily basis. Communicates all finding and results of investigation with other clerk(s), manager and inventory manager. Manages facility cycle count process and tracks results. Coordinates annual physical inventory.

Inventory clerk will be assigned other duties in the warehouse by the manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands inventory SAP movements within warehouse and managed inventory, plant to plant transfers, goods receipts, sales, customer returns process, and bin to bin movements.
  • Work with Master Data on all bin and location set-ups, created help desk tickets.
  • Understand product setup and can identify inaccuracy and correct errors.
  • Performs schedule cycle counts and creates a monthly report of these findings.
  • Works on obsolete inventory on a monthly basis.
  • Identifies O/S in inventory and comes up resolution to fix the error.
  • Works on maintaining goal of 99% inventory accuracy in the warehouse.
  • Maintains list of top 10 discrepancies and actively working on how to reduce errors in inventory.
  • Bring new ideas on processes and procedures that improve efficiency, and reduce errors.
  • Investigates and determines root cause to inventory discrepancies.
  • Will be certified to operate powered equipment to perform job tasks. Equipment does go up to 50 feet in the air.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Education and or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four year College or University; or one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Individual should have knowledge of inventory software, SAP and Excel.
