The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable business growth of the Weber outdoor living product portfolio in the assigned regions of the U.S. This product portfolio consists of the Weber family of gas grills, charcoal grills, grilling accessories, and other related products. The RSM will develop regional strategies and tactics that support the Company’s national strategic sales plan in partnership with the SVP, US Sales. The RSM will provide direction to assigned manufacturer’s representatives while directly ensuring that their assigned region strategic sales plan is effectively executed. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Sales and will be based in the Western region of the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Western regional sales management for all channels and customers, including achievement of annual sales plans.
  • Lead and direct the manufacturer’s representatives in the region and critically evaluates their performance by conducting retail audits, co-traveling with field personnel, measuring performance against assigned objectives (qualitative and quantitative), and measuring growth across all trade channels within the region.
  • Develops business relationships with all key customers within the region.
  • Develop an annual business plan for the region in collaboration with the manufacturer’s representatives and Weber’s sales leadership, establish growth objectives for all field sales representatives and key customers, and tracking performance against these objectives.
  • Utilize reporting, data, and analytics to develop a comprehensive understanding of business performance
  • In collaboration with Demand Planning, constructs sales forecast for Weber products within the region.
  • Provide product training for all Weber products ensuring that all field sales representatives are equipped with up-to-date product knowledge, customer programs, service agreements, and any other support information.
  • At the direction of the MET/MAP Administrator, execute MAP policy decisions and conduct education conversations with identified retailers leading to clarification of policy and resolution of infractions.
  • Monitor and reviews DIY store service performance according to each agency’s plan for consistent and effective execution.
  • Work various trade shows throughout the year representing Weber and supporting assigned customers.
  • Pursue new growth opportunities within the region and partners with sales leadership in execution of opportunities tied to the business’ growth objectives.
  • Ensures that all Weber customers are in compliance with Weber retail standards and policies (Minimum Advertised Price, transshipping, Ebay policy, foreign shipments, etc.).
  • Collaborate with channel marketing team to ensure that all marketing efforts are supported within the channel.
  • Provide market intelligence to senior management and marketing on a regular basis.
  • Provides cross-functional support (manufacturing, marketing, customer service, finance, planning) related to activities within the region.

Education, Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university
  • Retail sales experience, preferably in consumer products
  • Proven success directly managing regional, specialty, national, and/or other channels
  • Proven success managing manufacturer representative/broker organizations, and distributors
  • Proven success developing, presenting, and implementing business plans
  • Possess strong business and financial acumen
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Highly enthusiastic and hands-on business approach
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate into impactful sales results 

Position supports the Western Region and must be based within the assigned territory. Approximately 25-30% domestic travel will be required.
