Sr. Manager, Channel & Customer Marketing

Summary:

The Senior Manager of Channel and Customer Marketing will lead the development of Weber’s customer/trade marketing programs and create a world-class in-store experience for the Weber brand across all channels and retailers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Channel and Customer Marketing, this position will partner closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, finance, business analytics, and marketing teams in managing marketing programs, customer line reviews, product assortment optimization and new product launches. He/she must have experience and expertise in working with merchandising and design firms with a proven track record of success at retail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage our team of channel and customer marketing managers.
  • Manage all in-store sales support material including FOB books, POP, consumer catalogs, sales sell sheets and any other retailer specific in-store support need.
  • Develop and execute annual retailer product line reviews and collaboration meetings.
  • Develop retailer product launch plans including sell-in and in-store execution.
  • Manage and develop merchandising options for retail execution that strategically position the Weber brand in new and creative ways.
  • Development and execution of customer/trade marketing and promotional programs.
  • Coordinate internal alignment meetings, product samples, and all channel special requests.
  • Collaborates and assists with consumer insights team in understanding retailer POS and consumer trends.
  • Work in collaboration with the broader U.S. and global marketing teams to execute key deliverables and ensure alignment with cross-functional strategies.
  • Communicates and collaborates with the other Americas marketing teams, including Weber Canada and Weber Mexico, creating alignment and ensuring consistency across borders.
  • Develop deep understanding of the current/future market conditions and retail environment as well as product knowledge and expertise in Weber products, our competition and our retail distribution.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence and feedback from rep market reports.
  • Take a proactive approach at seeking new opportunities and solutions to problems and challenges to improve channel and customer marketing operations and execution. 

Education and/or Experience

  • 5-10 years’ work experience, focusing on channel and customer marketing, merchandising execution, new product launches and retailer special executions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related program
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all functional areas in marketing
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a proven track record of building relationships, influencing others, and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail with consistent record of delivery results
  • Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
  • A team-first focus with a can-do attitude and willingness to engage and help with any and all channel and customer marketing initiatives and activities
  • Proficiency in MS Office
