The IoT, Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of a global IoT product marketing and sales strategy. This Manager will work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and other support functions to create a comprehensive go-to-market strategy while tracking global metrics and sales to ensure business goals are met.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with regional partners on sales strategy and go-to-market plans
  • Aligns channel strategies for regional support and direction
  • Develops pricing and sku optimization plans
  • Partners with regions to develop “bottoms up” forecast
  • Investigates options for new tech, kitchen specialty, department store and online distribution (non-traditional outlets)
  • Manages event and trade show marketing with regional teams (DIY/Co-Op, Tech trade shows, CES, BBQ Events, Pop-up shops, etc.)
  • Creates training and sales support documents
  • Develops packaging and merchandising strategies for optimal on-shelf presence
  • Develops strategic partnerships for co-branding/alliance business opportunities
  • Evaluates competitive products to determine differentiated positioning
  • Creates strategic alliances and partnerships (e.g. Google, Apple, Amazon, etc.)
  • Looks for opportunity whitespace to grow the brand (and pitches new global channels)
  • Delivers monthly revenue tracker updates post launch to assess performance
  • Works with B2B and Regional teams to activate paid content and monetization partnerships
  • Works with Global Marketing group to create launch campaigns, content strategy and global toolkits
  • Responsible for developing marketing strategy --briefs and manages global agencies for Weber Connect brandwork with Global Marketing team


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing; or related experience in project or product management.
  • Previous experience handling multiple projects and managing all details large and small is a must
  • 5+ years’ work experience in Marketing, Brand, or Product Management for a consumer products company
  • Possesses a sense of urgency in driving sales results, adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
  • Possesses the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as product costing, revenue, margin, market share, and metric conversion
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail with a consistent record of delivering results
  • Has excellent communications skills and can work effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret sales reports (P&L) and research reports and marketing studies.
  • Must possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence and marketing plans and effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, department manager, associates, sales representatives, dealers, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of SAP database software, Internet software, spreadsheet software, presentation software, word processing software and Microsoft Project.
  • Previous experience managing IoT products is preferred
