Summary:
The Manager of Channel Strategy will develop Weber’s multi-year channel strategy for the U.S. Business. Reporting to the Director of Channel Marketing, this position will partner closely with sales, product management and market teams to develop go-to-market strategies and processes focused on commercial execution, product assortment, new product launches, and the in-store retail experience.  He/she will be responsible for developing strategic opportunities and initiatives with key retail customers and ensure close alignment with our channel marketing strategies and product roadmap.  The incumbent will be expected to develop deep product expertise within the grilling category – (including competition) and should have a keen understanding of the retail environment.         

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of a multi-year U.S. channel strategy, consisting of channel and customer product assortment.
  • Leads the product assortment planning process by channel and customer.
  • Participates and contributes in product presentations, retailer line reviews, and customer meetings.
  • Collaborates and assists with sales planning team and consumer insights team in understanding retailer POS and consumer trends.
  • Works in collaboration with the broader U.S. and global marketing teams to execute key deliverables and ensure alignment with cross-functional strategies.
  • Manages all Go-To-Market strategy and planning including commercialization plans for new product launches.
  • Responsible for deep understanding of the current/future market conditions and retail environment as well as product knowledge and expertise in Weber products, our competition and our retail distribution.
  • Provides ongoing market intelligence by building a thorough understanding of our competitive landscape and providing specific information to the organization as needed.
  • Leads the exploration of new growth opportunities including new channels of distribution for the U.S. business

  • Takes a proactive approach at seeking new opportunities and solutions to problems and challenges to improve channel marketing operations and execution.  

Education and/or Experience  

  • 5-10 years’ work experience, focusing on channel strategy, new product launches, retailer special executions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related program
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all functional areas in marketing
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a proven track record of building relationships, influencing others, and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail with consistent record of delivery results
  • Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
  • A team-first focus with a can-do attitude and willingness to engage and help with any and all channel marketing initiatives and activities
  • Proficiency in MS Office
