Summary
The Electrical Integration Engineer is responsible for applying Hardware and Electrical Engineering skills to integrate, build and test innovative products to meet customer expectations.

Ideal candidates have a solid Computer Science Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering background with relevant global industry experience in the design of electronics/electrical products and a minimum of 5 to 10+ years of experience in the electronics/electrical design field. 

They are also highly organized and self-motivated individuals with the ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve complex problems. They have solid interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate issues to other team members and to self-manage as a product development core team member.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience in system integration of electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of hardware (electrical/electronics, mechanical systems)
  • Ability to design electro-mechanical systems and interpret data sheets for components
  • Knowledge of interfaces and hardware subsystems
  • Provide feedback on project progress to all team members and stakeholders.
  • Collect and disseminate information pertaining to assigned projects within Weber and to its external partners.
  • Develop specifications for new components, assist with sourcing components and manage subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of electronic fundamentals how to design around issues, such as ESD, EMC noise, etc.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical system design.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA processes.
  • Programming experience with C/C++ is a plus
  • Drives continuous improvement activities through team participation, project reviews, and result analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient ability in status reporting, communicating technical data/results and issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Proficient ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and effectively handle complex assignments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no direct reports.

Education and or Experience

  • Engineering degree is required; Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • o Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and significant experience may be considered.
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer.
  • 2+ years’ experience in electro-mechanical integration, which includes integration of electrical/electronic systems in mechanical products.
  • Experience with embedded FW in C/C++ language is a plus.
  • Experience in using Solidworks is a plus.
