Rated 1 out of 5 by MC90 from Great Grill. Not so great Customer service I bought this grill in February and it has smoke leaks everywhere. It also has a loose damper, so I called customer service and they told me it’s suppose to be loose like that it’s part of the design. This is my first time owning a Weber, I bought the grill because everyone says it’s the best charcoal great out there and has the best customer service but I am disappointed that I spent almost $300 dollars and it leaks more than my $35 expert griller from Walmart

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jordan928 from Grill wobbles when I clean it I got the “premium” and spent 200$ and was very disappointed with the legs that just push pinned in. I would think that it would but and bolt together. Maybe I’m being unrealistically but a good grill brush cleaning shakes the whole grill. I would expect more out of a Weber

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jockomo from A Good Grill I received this grill (my 1st Weber) as a gift, and have used it several times to both grill and to smoke foods. Maintaining lower temperatures for smoking is taking some time to master, but I am not ready to give up just yet. Overall, it's a good heavy-duty grill that was fairly simple to assemble. Hopefully, it will serve my grilling and smoking needs for many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Poreda1292 from Best Charcoal Grill So glad we included this on our wedding registry. By far the best grill I've used. So easy to control the temperature with the damper. Simple cleaning out the ash using the one touch cleaning, plus the charcoal baskets retain heat and help avoid the mess. Love the grates having the hinged sides to allow for easy charcoal addition on longer, indirect cooks. Big fan of the lid holder, making it easy to quickly remove and replace the lid while cooking. So far have grilled burgers, steaks, kebabs, and a beer can chicken without trouble. Would highly recommend this charcoal grill to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from A great overall product My only complaints (and they're minor) is that the sweeping arm that moves the ash into the holes above the ash collector could be a little more efficient. It seems to take a lot of swiping back and forth to clean out the ashes and it also makes a "nails on chalkboard" sound which gets irritating. The ash collector can also be fussy to remove. Also, the plastic foot on the third leg cracked almost immediately. Especially if you move it around. Overall it's a wonderful grill and would easily recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MartyE from No one makes kettle charcoal grills like weber This is your typical high quality Weber Kettle BBQ. It was a snap to assemble and all parts fit perfect, except one wheel cover that had two broken studs. I have contacted customer service and have no doubt they'll come through with a replacement. This grill is great to cook on. My 18" Weber Kettle was a bit to small for my family of 4 as we tend to cook different meats and veggies when we bbq. The "22 kettle is the perfect size and I can throw on a variety of meats and veggie with room to spare as well as heat corn or bread on the included rack that comes with the Master-Touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrAlan from A great grilling experience! After using a gas grill for a number of years I decided to go back to charcoal. I had a original Weber kettle about 25 years ago and loved it so when I moved back to charcoal grilling it was the first one I thought of. This time I upgraded to the Master-Touch and love it! I assembled it without a problem and after a quick seasoning began grilling. The charcoal trays made it very convenient to position the coals for either direct or indirect cooking, or a combination. The grill is well-built and I anticipate many years of outdoor cooking with it. I also plan to add accessories designed for the Master-Touch, especially the cast iron insert. I really enjoy cooking with the Master-Touch Charcoal Grill!

Rated 4 out of 5 by adkdadto4 from renewed my interest in barbeque! long time propane griller making the switch to Charcoal :) I apprecate the taller stature of this model and the built-in cover keeper. ig thumbs up for a charcoal chimney and some type ot charcoal basket or vortex, slow-n-sear to have better control over hot/warm zones. The kettle itself is very reliable and support is top notch. I find the new design of the pinch style ash bucket more difficult to work than the previous sliding type connection on my friend's older grill though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by daves37 from Hard to control temperature I bought the Master Touch about a month ago to replace a Weber that lasted 20 years. There are a couple issues with the new grill. First, there were a few wrong nuts in the box, so required a trip to the hardware store. Second, the lid does not seal to the body well and it leaks air like a sieve. This makes it impossible to maintain cooking temperatures. Honestly, if I had known about this issue, I would not have purchased the grill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Smoke Daddy from What happened to you? It’s Thanksgiving and for the past 18 yrs I have grilled my turkey’s on my original 22. Sadly this August, had to retire it due the bottom rusting out. This year would be no different, soo I went out the Tues before and picked up a new one from The Home Depot. Right out of the box as I put it together, I realized what I was not putting together an upgrade to what I previously owned, but rather an inferior knockoff! WEBER… WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU??? The heavier grates, the thermometer, the wheel covers… nice, but they seem to be distractors to the fact that kettle itself is clearly made from a much thinner gauge steel than my original 22. In all the years I owned my original, the handle never got so hot that I needed a heat shield. I can only imagine it’s due to the thinner gauge steel. Another ting about the lid… it just sits on top of the drum, and with no weight… there is no seal as you can see by my photos. The lid to my original hugged the lip of the drum creating a seal. One positive… the thermometer works well. It confirmed that the drum holds less heat resulting more coal to retain a consistent temperature. Lastly… I ask you again…,”Weber, what happened to you?”

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gary777 from Great grill Master touch is definitely the way to go if you’re going with the stand alone kettle, the extra features are well worth it. I really like a couple of the subtle changes ,the ash catcher seems easier to remove on the new colored kettles and I like the holes in the ring that holds the ash catcher to know where the vents are set. the charcoal baskets, lid holder and the extra height are my favorite features on the master touch. If you’re on the fence about getting one don’t be these are made to last and are very versatile you can grill and smoke low and slow in these things

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrewDad from Well built! Got this as a housewarming present last summer, and it’s been used many times since then! Weber has always made an amazing grill, and this is my first ever charcoal one. I’ve used plenty of gas and even an infrared version, they all work great. Even works well as a smoker! Love that it’s not a one trick pony.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bigjim78 from Why settle for second best Growing up my dad always had a Weber kettle. Then he bought one of the first smoky mountain bullets. Now that I’m a dad my wife had gotten some fancy gas grills, that’s what she grew up on. This year I turned 40 and I never get myself treats. Finally I went to the store and bought the master. Why? It’s a couple inches taller and being 6’7” it makes a difference. The versatility of a Weber is second to none. Why settle for the in the mean time. Don’t be cheap just cause the kettle look alike is on sale for $39.99. It’s not worth it. The ash catcher is a no brainer too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nolan from Good reputation, sub par construction After doing extensive research into charcoal grills, I finally pulled the trigger on the mastertouch kettle. I could barely contain my excitement on the drive home to put this bad boy together. As I was putting it together, I was disappointed at the build quality. The legs are one step up from tin foil, they are incredibly flimsy. Once the kettle of flipped right side up, it wobbles as soon as you touch it. Putting the grates in, I noticed that they too wobble. Bending the tabs seemed to help but still not perfect. The center grate of the GBS system also wobbles in its place. Once I put the lid on I discovered my greatest disappointment. The upper on lower bodies are nowhere near circular and do not fit with each other no matter the orientation. After spending near 300 dollars on this bbq, I would have expected better quality. I have not cooked on it yet, so perhaps my eating will go up after I use it for a while. As it stands right now though, I'm pretty disappointed with my brand new webber.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chris D. from Wrong item in the box and still not corrected. I received the grill as a gift and didn't realize that the grill in the box was not the same as the picture or the model number. I contacted Home Depot about the problem and the said it sounded like Weber's problem as they (HD) don't package the grill. So I contacted weber and the said they would correct the problem, that was 10/03/17. So far no correction. So the grill does work well, I just didn't receive what my wife paid for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Smoker65 from I'm agree with Smoke Daddy at the end of this page In general this is an outstanding grill. But the metal of the top and shell is super thin compared to the older Weber kettles. I bought my first one in 1980 and have owned 2 others since then. To get the top to seal to the bottom I need to use paper spring clamps in order to keep the smoke in when smoking a brisket or pork butt or anything I want smoke on. Other wise I have smoke coming out all around the lid. There is no weight to seal it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hobby griller from Packed with great features! Have owned this grill for over two years now. By far the best charcoal grill on the market for the price point. The Master Touch is packed with great features. I enjoy the hinged cooking grate, it enables me at add fuel during long indirect smokes. Lid thermometer is a nice touch. Also enjoy the additional height this grill has over the original kettles. The best feature has to be the ash catcher and sweep assembly. Makes cleaning out ash quick, easy, and doesn’t make a mess on the patio. I have found that this kettle seals up excellent. When doing long indirect cooks, this kettle will easily hold a temp between 225 and 250 all day long with very little adjustment. Great product for the $$$! And it’s made in USA!

Rated 4 out of 5 by AtlasGoalie from Some new features Questionable build quality Bought this new after my 20yr old Weber grill finally wore out. Like the lid holder and utensil holder. Overall okay, but cheaply made hardware to hold grill together. Had a hard time installing the handle to the lid ( poor fit ) called got new lid and handle sent to me. Was just had bad. Had to run to hardware store and buy better hardware to get together. Other than that, very happy with this generation of Weber charcoal grills

Rated 4 out of 5 by phillyron from Best Ever I am a believer in Weber grills and this by far is my favorite. I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the pressure needed to remove the ash catcher. I am a senior citizen and I don't have the hand strength that I had when I was 25. Also...assembling the legs to the bowl was a job and I still am not able to get the legs to click into place. Other than that it's perfect for me and my wife and a small gathering of friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KVacek from Great grill.but I needed more space Excellent grill, but when the food and their families come over I needed more room to cook for 7 adults and 4 kids. Especially since one daughter always wants to grill vegetables. Sold this to one of my sons in law and bought a 26". Maybe I should have learned my lesson when I bought the 18" Weber Smoky Mountain - I really want the 22" WSM for better capacity and better access to the coals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brent67 from Great Grilling Experiences We have had our the Master-Touch 22 for about a month now and are very pleased with it. It’s not our first Weber (had traditional, gas and small ones) but we haven’t grilled for a couple of years (long story...) and needed a new one. The bi-level grills are great for cooking vegetables while searing meat, or keeping things off the direct heat and cooking multiple kinds of food at the same time. The temperture gage is key in doing this. Also, the indirect charcoal bins are wonderful for things like cedar plank fish, or beer can chicken. Have done both and they were great! Being able to tilt the lid back and store it is a very nice feature and handy for managing the wind a bit. Looking forward to year-round grilling. Overall, a great grill!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jmilly from Good looking with accessories I've had a weber kettle in the past.let me say this.dont ever loan your kettle to someone who doesn't appreciate a weber grill..enter new master touch..what I like the best is that it is taller than the standard which I had before...that was the bonus for me. If you never owned one and on the fence..this will not disappoint...recommended that you add this to your assets...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dantana from Casper The Grill I recently recived a 2019 Ivory Master Touch. The set is amazing, The set is everything you need to grill stock items are, Hindged grate with removable center, raised second grill, new style ash catcher. The box came with everything needed to assembly. The onlt wrench was a plastic scotted to attach as neded. The controled damperes allowed to dial the temprature to a perfect 250 deg. while smoking a thanks giving. I deducted is because the grill legs were held in place with spring pins. I could see this as a near future failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Capt. Tom from The best keeps getting better I've been using Weber kettle grills for over 25 years. I bought this new Master Touch 22" because I gave my old one to a family member. Everything on this new one is well thought out and very useful. The grates, ash pan, new handle design, thermometer, lid holder, and redesigned leg attachments are outstanding. The application of the porcelain coating is flawless. I also have other Weber products and their customer service is the best in the industry. On the rare occasions that I've needed parts for my other Weber grills the customer service staff made it very easy for me. They made sure I got the right part and if it was covered under warranty they took care of that also. Weber has some of the nicest people answering the phones, very easy to deal with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by asbinder from It's a Weber, Of Course It's a Good Grill Everything you hear that's good about Webers applies here. The only drawback is the fit of the lid. I hope mine is an anomaly. The lid wants to slip off with the slightest nudge. I checked for an out of round lid or body but both were fine. I contacted a rep who said it might just need a natural build-up of grease and other deposits from use. We'll see.
