Rated 5 out of 5 by TAPCON 1 from WEBER'S MISSING LINK I smoke a turkey for THANKSGIVING every year . I had to put foil over the top of the bird as the lid rested on it. So I thought, if only I could make a collar to raise the lid a few inches. I found this from WEBER while surfing the web. Just what I needed ! Plus it came with the rotisserie accessory . Super moist chicken! Well worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KYPork from Simply Works Simple to set up. Simple to operate. Set it and leave it for great meat. Keeps meat from drying out or being overdone on one side. Avoids flipping and handling meat too much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cwinner from Works Great! I bought this rotisserie adapter for my Weber Kettle about five years ago, and I use mine on a regular basis. Ever since getting it I have been having rotisserie turkeys on Thanksgiving and I intend to do the same again this year. I use the Weber Grills "Sage, Orange and Clove Rotisserie Turkey" recipe and every year our dinner guests are amazed at how the Turkey stays so tender and moist, even the breast meat. If you haven't done so already, I would suggest getting this item, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you get the counterweight for the spit, you need it for the bigger turkeys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StephenB from Pleased with new Rotisserie We wanted a Rotisserie for awhile and were pleased when it arrived two days early. We skewed two large chickens the first night. The powerful motor handled the weight with ease and the chicken was perfect! We were so pleased that we upgraded our kettle to a Performer Deluxe and the Rotisserie makes it look almost majestic! Planning on a prime rib for our 4th of July gathering. Thanks for the recipe in the Weber App, what a great tool!

Rated 1 out of 5 by TomRW from Flimsy, inaccurate fit on the ring; awful balance The rotisserie for 22" charcoal grills *could* be a great product, but I can't recommend it. The thickness and weight of the metal is not enough for the ring to keep its shape or even stay on straight until the kettle lid is replaced. I bought the rotisserie with great anticipation. Unfortunately, the ring did not fit my Platinum Performer snugly, even when it was brand new. That was a big let-down. Not all parts of the product are bad, however. The spit is solid metal and I've seen no evidence of corrosion. The wood handle is sturdy. In particular, the motor works very well. I've accidentally left it outside overnight in the rain and it continues to work reliably. All the problems stem from the inadequate ring. As I said, it didn't fit snugly, even when I removed it from the damage-free packaging. The thin gauge of metal used in its construction means that regular use bends it further out of shape. Note the considerable gap in the picture. The loose fit means difficulty controlling temperature and inefficient use of fuel. The loose fit and lack of weight means that, once the motor is attached, it doesn't stay on straight by itself; the whole ring sinks to one side until the weight of the spit and the food holds it in place. Holding it on steady makes mounting the spit a two-person job. I've managed to make some great poultry and rib roasts with this rotisserie, but that's despite its significant shortcomings. Everything about the *potential* of this product seems to say an engineer specified a thicker gauge of metal. Everything about the actual product says some bean-counting suit said that wouldn't produce enough profit. Next time, listen to your engineers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tiny from Rotisserie This rotisserie attachment for the Weber BBQ works great. I am extremely happy with it. Easy to assemble. Could fit 2 or 3 Mary's 3.25 lb chickens on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mikeyalso from Fit and Finish Disappointed in the fit of this rotisserie to the barbecue. The actual diameter of the rotisserie is smaller than required and leaves a significant gap. I purchased this barbecue and rotisserie because of the Weber brand and my previous experience with a similar unit that I used for many years. Because of the gap, I’m not able to maintain a seal which adversely impacts smoking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Greg M from Easy to use Hadn't used a rotisserie on charcoal for years. Recently bought this and was able to easily set it up on my Weber 22" and use it to charcoal a whole chicken. The chicken was wonderful. The skin was browned to perfection and the meat was still moist. Most of all, you just can't beat that charcoal flavor in every bite.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GeorgeV from Problem I have one problem with the rotisserie. It doesn't fit my grill very well. It's loose. None of the notches fit over anything. If I bump the ring when I'm putting the meat on, it falls into the grill. It's like the ring is a shade too small for the grill

Rated 4 out of 5 by Runningnickl from Repairable I have an older model and am not sure if design has changed on any newer product. The bad: motor quits turning when required to turn heavy loads or if liad usn’t correctly balanced. The good: I am able to open case and reposition gears to get motor functioing again. Have had my set for over ten years and it still humming along...with periodic gears repisitioning required. Thinking about buying a new set and see what hsppens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by richt from Still going strong after 32 years! Got this new in 1987. Used it a few times per season. After about 20 years of use, the motor stopped working, so I just put it away. A few years ago, I took it out of storage from my garage to see if I could fix it. I opened the motor case, removed the debris and dead bugs, cleaned the electrical contacts, and lubricated the gears. To my amazement, it started working again! Since then, I've used it to make our Thanksgiving turkey using the Weber orange-sage recipe. Can't beat Weber!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Slug40 from A Piece of Junk Dear Weber, I have owned a number of Weber charcoal kettle grills since the early 1980’s and have always been more than satisfied with their quality and performance—further I have purchased two rotisserie units as late as several years ago. To say that my recent “Performer” purchase and rotisserie are both pieces of junk, compared with my past excellent experience, would be a gross understatement. I purchased both pieces in time for a Labor Day cookout, which I assembled a day prior in order to serve a dozen guests, with my rotisserie hickory smoked beef and pork specialty. My first disappointment came when I discovered my kettle was shipped without assemble instructions, which I finally had to give up trying to find the right copy for my unit on your web site, and had to call your customer support, which turned out to be very courteous and helpful. After assembly I was horrified to discover that the lid did not fit the kettle snuggly but wobbled loosely over the kettle, not staying in place, compared to my past 35 years experience with Weber grills. Then to make matters worse the rotisserie frame would not fit down on the kettle in place, because the two inside kettle nuts securing the lid holder, blocked the circular unit from going down far enough to lock down in place. For a test pre-cook I tried cooking a nice steak with charcoal and fresh hickory wood smoke. The lid would NOT fit down securely on the kettle, even by spinning and pressing the cover down in order to find a securing spot, cooking temperature was difficult to control, and the kettle leaked so bad between the cover and kettle, that more smoke came out between the kettle and the lid, than did thru the upper lid port. Having no choice, with company coming the next day, I took my rotary grinder and enlarged the rotisserie frame notches in order to fit it down properly onto the kettle—to my chagrin, after clearing the nuts, the rotisserie frame still would not fit down in place, and stay securely mounted on the kettle’s lip, instead rocking precariously on the kettle surface. I mounted the rotisserie spit rod and pressed down with a similar pressure and the weight of the meat I was about to cook. I could not be certain that the whole mess between the misfitting kettle and the rotisserie frame would not dump my meat on the ground, with the slightest accidental nudge with weight of the meat turning and cooking, that I decided to drill two holes thru the kettle and rotisserie frame in order to secure it down in place. Our location is at high elevation in the North Carolina Mountains, where we can get strong wind gusts such that I have to tie down this whole mess down in order to keep it all together when not in use. The attached photo tells the whole story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Will3 from Great Addition I ordered the kettle rotisserie shortly before Thanksgiving and it arrived in a few short days. So the game was on, “dizzy” turkey for Thanksgiving it would be. With very little work and attention we enjoyed one of the very best turkeys we had in years. I look forward to spinning some beef in the kettle soon. My only regret is that I didn’t order a Weber rotisserie years ago, it truly is a fantastic addition to my Weber kettle.
