iGrill 2 is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The iGrill 2 does the trick! It didn't take long to determine this is a winner. Bluetooth connectivity eliminates the need to run outside to check the rain. The Bluetooth signal strength is just strong enough to reach my iPhone when in my frame house, a distance of about 20 feet. Others may have an issue if their home is brick, or they are further away from the base unit. I will try playing around with where I locate the base to see if I can get the signal to reach further. We'll see how it holds up over the long haul, including battery life, weather resistance, accuracy and so on. Thus far, I am happy I picked it up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing thermometer with ok Bluetooth I’ve used the igrill 2 a few times and love it. I can measure the temp of my smoker and 3 meats of I had the room. Or I can measure two spots on a large smoker to make sure the temps are even across the smoker and still measure the temp of two meats. My only complaint mirrors several other reviewers on here. The range or strength of the Bluetooth could be improved. If I’m outside I can get a single all over my property. But if I’m inside our house and try to go upstairs to our family room to watch tv I lose signal. I could always try and move the smoker closer so the signal might get better but since the signal still has to go through walls it might work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great product but... I love this product and the concept is great. It has not failed to have a perfect grilled main course. Only problem I have is projecting completion time to my wife and the WiFi is only good for a short distance. I wish it had some method to say when it will be done by probe and expand the WiFi distance to receive the info on my phone. I installed a WiFi extender but it does not help. My friends have the same problem so 8m sure it’s a design issue. I still would recommend this if you are a serious griller as the product works as intended and you can guess on the completion time. Happy grilling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inaccurate I bought this igrll2 2 years ago and the 1st time using it was great! The next 2 times on a Kamado grill it burned 4 pork shoulders (7lbs each) even though the temp probe in the grill was at 225-250F with the probe and the internal set to 195F-10hours later 1/2 of the meat was burned and dried out. I thought it was my kamado that was the problem, so I just bought a Traeger and set the temp to 225F! 3 pork shoulders (4,5,6lbs) and the probe only reached 194F after 12 hours so I removed! They meat was 1/2 it’s original weight and dried up! Wasted once again obviously due to the probe readings! Very convenient with the WiFi however the accuracy, not good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I got this just in time for a brisket smoke on a kettle. This took all the guess work out. Ambient probe is much more accurate than the lid thermometer. I stayed in the AC 30-40 feet away and never lost contact. When I left home and came back it reconnected immediately no issues. I highly recommend this for people who like to grill!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too bad I've used a few different grill thermometers (the iDevices iGrill 7685-IGLK, this iGrill2 and a handheld)... the bluetooth units all have the same problem. The range is generally terrible and this iGrill 2 is no different. Our grill is right out the back door. if I'm in the kitchen max 20' away, its constantly trying to reconnect. The unit itself is good, no real complaints. however the BT is typical... bad... lol My biggest complaint is the app you use for this unit, its basically terrible. There are so many adjustments I would like to make, but I can't. Its just annoying. Thankfully the unit itself is nice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be aware - loses connection with no warning at all Received as a gift, was excited to use it. Set up the app, connected the probes and put the meat in the smoker. All looked good, thought this was gonna be pretty cool. While the meat cooked I proceeded to do some yard work and errands around the house - no worries, the iGrill will notify me when the meat is getting done, right? Well, like so many other reviewers have stated, the bluetooth disconnects with absolutely no warning and you're left with temperature readings that never change. After a while I finally caught on, only to find the meat overcooked. What's the use of a remote probe if I have to stay nearby and keeping worrying my connection. Really disappointed this item fails badly at the one thing it's supposed to do for you. At the very LEAST the app could warn you the connection was lost so be aware that readings may be inaccurate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and Brilliant Owned for 15-20 cooks now and it’s perfect for reading internal and ambient (@ the grill) temps. My first iGrill was faulty and replaced by manufacturers at no cost to me as it would drop connection regardless of distance even after reset process. The new one works perfectly (as it should) & I would recommend it to anyone. The only improvements I would suggest are 1. the ability to put a variable high/low range select on all preset cooks (eg. brisket 195F-208F) and 2. model upgrade that connects to Wifi & or Bluetooth for those moments when you need to run off to the supermarket. Smoke on!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 of 4 probe inputs failed...too bad for me... I’ve owned the iGrill 2 for about 2.5-3 years. Every year probes fail. The Bluetooth range is short. Just recently 2 of the inputs failed. They display temperatures greater than 200 degrees initially, then they quickly drop to below zero, displaying a “-dc”. I called customer service and they indicated that internally something has gone bad. He also indicated that the warranty is 2 years...too bad, so sad. Time to look at other options...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lacks In Bluetooth Range I like the idea of the Igrill 2, unfortunately I can’t go more than 35 ft from the transmitter before I lose connection. I fail to see the point of this device if I have to be that close to the grill, I may as well physically check it if that’s the case. I thought I was upgrading from my maverick, but I guess I was wrong. Save yourself the money, unless you want to stand beside the grill while checking the temp on your phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool Got this as a gift and have used it several times. Currently I have three probes, I use one for the grill temperature and the other two for what ever I'm cooking. I like the software and the time temperature tracking as well as the ability to set temperature alarms. Only improvement would be greater bluetooth range

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helpful Bought this about 1 year ago. I like the features but this does not transmit more than 15 feet to my I phone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blue tooth feature almost never connects I am on my second iGrill, the iGrill 1125 and the iGrill 2, and the Bluetooth feature almost always disconnects and it’s impossible to re-pair it to your iPad or iPhone. If you want to know the temperature of the meat and the internal temperature of the smoker or grill, if you go to the base unit at the smoker and check the temps, it’s pretty accurate, however, if you want to see what temperature your at anywhere, even 50 feet away, it disconnects from the pairing. That’s not why I bought it....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inconsistent temperature readings I bought the iGrill 2 a couple of months ago and have used it on several occasions, both with my Weber grill and in our gas oven. The first time I used it, after the meat had reached the proper temperature on the iGrill, it looked undercooked when we cut into it. Using an instant read thermometer, we discovered the meat was 15 degrees less than what the iGrill indicated. The second time we used it, we again compared temps and they were within a few degrees of each other. This last time, in our oven, the temps were again 15 degrees different. Can these probes be calibrated?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best meat thermometer ever ! I bought the iGrill 2 to use when cooking on our Weber, which is both outside (obviously) and down a flight of stairs to the patio. The iPhone app makes grilling so much easier, and saves a lot of time running up and down. Now that it is January in New England, I'm also using it in my oven and loving it just as much. The iGrill 2 is the best meat thermometer I have ever had.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All Show and No go! I bought this product and used it around 25 times and it never worked to satisfaction. Inaccurate temps and poor signal transmission.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer Super rad! I'm using the android app. No issues with connectivity. Love that this version has the readout on top. My significant other uses this for baking and doesn't care about the app, so they just use the buttons. Takes all of the guess work out of smoking. Never need to open the lid other than to rotate meats and add more smoking chips. Saves a lot of time, as the grill doesn't loose heat / smoke from opening the lid. Definitely grab the ambient probe to nail smoking temps and another meat probe so you can use all four ports as needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great when it works, but... When my iGrill2 stays connected, it works well. The problem is it drops the connection constantly. I’m sitting 20 feet from the transmitter, yet the iphone app constantly drops the connection. I’ve tried resetting the transmitter, re-paired the connection, restarted the phone, etc. no luck. Very frustrating is putting it mildly. I ruined a brisket because it dropped and never reconnected. I bought this so I wouldn’t have to babysit my smoker. At this point, I’m ready to look for something else. Support is pretty much nonexistent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loses connection I've owned this for about two years. It does work but if I lose sight of it, it drops the connection. It makes no sense to me to have a wireless thermometer that I can't walk away from. It works good so long as I stay close. The most frustrating part is that when it loses connection it stops updating the temperature nor does it reconnect when I get back to the grill. It's only when I notice the temperature hasn't changed do I know it has lost connection. I've overcooked one meal and came close two other times. It works great if you're hanging out around your grill and gives you the convenience of not having to get up to check the thermometer, but don't step away too far or step into the house. I can't trust the thermometer so it will be going in the garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inaccurate by +\-35 degrees I bought this thermometer with hi hopes, been using it a week. I immediately notice the major fluctuations in temps. This morning I took out a pork loin out of the fridge place on a table to get to room temp, after 20mins in 85 degree day, placed it on the smoker plugged it in, inserted the temp probe. I immediately read 140 I thought that’s odd place my thremapen in it to read 52, so I have it an hour, tried my thermapen again, it was still 35 degrees off, it’s a boneless pork loin probe is stuck in the middle. Why

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I was looking for. I have owned this now for several months. I bought the base unit and quickly found myself adding two more sensors. I have used in with my grill and my smoker. On the grill I monitor the temp of meat. I love the app when it gives you the recommended temp for the selection you make of what you are cooking. In the smoker I will use one sensor to monitor the oven temp and the others go into whatever is smoking. This Christmas was a 15 lbs brisket. The best one ever. This works with ribs, whole chickens, roasts, etc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works well but?? The basic feature of the iGrill 2 is to provide a constant feed back to my iPhone. This is does very well however, if I move more than 20 ft from the grill signal is lost. I contacted the iGrill team and after being forced to send them a video of lack of distance coverage, they sent me a replacement. The range is the same. So if you expect to be able to go inside and do other cooking stuff forget about it as you will loose signal. Its very disappointing not to be able to un-teather so I leave my iPhone outside and just go back and forth. With todays technology the wireless system, line of site so be a least 100 feet. PS I sold wireless systems to the NSA and I really know about wireless products. I could just take my temperature prob outside and accomplish the same thing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bluetooth range is ridiculously short If I walk more than 15 feet away, the bluetooth connection is lost. I can stand in my kitchen, six feet away from the iGrill, separated by only a window and it won't retain a connection. How is this useful? Does everyone have their BBQ five feet away from where they are?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Latest version of the App is a Major improvement. I really like now that the app offers multiple “cuts” of the protein you are grilling. Such as: ribeye, tenderloin, strip steak etc. I would have givin the iGrill2 five stars except the colored silicone covers at the tips of the probe are not very durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad BlueTooth Connectivity. Purchased this and as a "LOYAL" Gasser and Charcoal Weber Fan. I cannot recommend this product like the rest of the quality products Weber makes. The only other issue I have had with a Weber product was pitting with my Limited Edition. Customer Service is WORLD CLASS! Took care of the issue immediately. I dont think anything is wrong with my I-Grill, I just think it is a poor design. It is actually very frustrating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from a lot of money for something that doesn't last bought this 2 years ago and used less than 10 times, now when it was working it worked great, then I go to use for the first time this year and it won't power up after reset and battery change. really disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy of use I have been bbqing for over 45 years and the I Grill 2 has been a revelation. The easy and accuracy of getting food perfect evert time is absolutely brilliant. It’s so good I bought a second one for my son

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I grill 2 is so close I love everything about this product with the exception of the lousy Bluetooth reception. I actually returned/exchanged it for another but the constant dropping of the Bluetooth signal was rampant on the second one as well. I gave it 2 stars since I can (with a lot of frustrating effort) manage to reset it and get accurate temps without having to open my Kamado Joe but I have to say I would not recommend buying this version. Hopefully Weber can fix the Bluetooth issue in the next model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect results every time. I’ve had the igrill for a few months and I love it. I don’t have to stand right over the grill or smoke to check the temperature. It helps me monitor internal and ambient temperatures. I love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan yet I’ve only used it once, but it kept disconnecting from my phone, very annoying. Also when it got within 10 degrees of being done it let me know every few seconds. Not impressed
