Rated 3 out of 5 by from Skeptical I love Weber products with that said I'm not writing this review in any negative way. I just was disappointed in the new material that is being used in my replacement grill cover. The Premium one was made of quality material and lasted me 8 years. The last 3 years outdoors. That was the primary reason it failed but I was satisfied. The new cover is so thin and unfortunately more expensive that the one I replaced. I thought I had purchased the wrong cover at one point. I would just need some feedback on the new cover. Yes it has a 3 year warranty but I'm more interested in why the change? I doubt this new cover will last 8 years. I will still support the Weber brand and their products. They are superior hence my concern.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor longevity Cover lasted less than a year before cracks in the material and flaking have started to form. Cover appears to have shrunk while on the grill and attempts to remove it from or put it back on the grill have started to split the seams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Assembly was super easy, using the app to guide us. Took a bit longer than predicted, but only one screw didn't quite go in all the way, everything else just fit like a charm. We had been using a hand-me-down Q-series, which was still in good shape. While that was a good grill, the difference to the Genesis II is mind-blowing. The Genesis II heats up super-quickly, and so far I don't feel any dead spots on the grill, even when leaving a burner off. I've used it three times in the past week (since assembling it), and am looking forward to grilling all summer long with it. Completely worth the price, can't recommend enough!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great but doesn't last My cover barely lasted two years. Went to take it off today after winter storage and the cover is all hard a cracking. It's like it shrunk! Could barely get it off. Really disappointed with the Weber cover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t stay on grill This cover is garbage for the price. It doesn’t stay on during windy storms. I’ve had to put the cover back on twice on the last two weeks. I never had this problem with my Char Broil cover. That cover had weight to it. This cover lets the wind under it and has no weight so it just winds ups getting uprooted and pulled off by the wind, even with the straps on the side. Same for the Performer cover which doesn’t have straps on the side but 1 inside.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thin Material Compared to Last Weber Cover I will be keeping the receipt for this cover. It has a 3-year guaranty... My last Weber cover for the Genesis Series was MUCH thicker and had a window screen sewn in the back. I had it 10 years. It's still good but will not fit the Genesis II E-315. I paid a premium price for this new model 7130.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Lightweight While it does, keep the grill dry while it's on, keeping it on is difficult. Even when I tighten up the Velcro so that it's overlapped by about 8 inches, the wind continually blows the cover off. I went out and bought magnets, put them in a fabric sleeve and attached three to the top and two on the bottom to hold the cover on. That works, but it would have been better to not need them at all. You would think an $80 cover would stay on...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor cover dont waste your money on this cover, purchased it 3 years ago and now the seams are cracking open and the cover is hard as a rock, very difficult to put on. great grill, horrible covers. this grill is in my garage all winter too, not out in the elements.
Date published: 2018-04-30
Rated 3 out of 5 by from doing what i want The cover is as advertised but since I have an older 300 series grill and the cover is made to fit the newer grills it is a little tight. My grill is about 65 inches wide and the cover I got is only 58 inches wide. I guess I should have measured it before ordering and got the 400 series cover even though mine is a 300 series.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quite a change Much thinner material than the last Weber branded cover I purchased. Our last served well and lasted a number of years. I am not optimistic about this one based on the thin material. timewill tell

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 year old cover I bought my first Premium cover 5 years ago and I am finally replacing it now only because my local hardware store is doing a 50% off all merchandise sale. My cover has been outside the entire 5 years under a covered patio. It is still very usable but has some cracking and showing a good bit of wear. I honestly will probably keep on using it and have the new one for a back up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grill cover Quality is not as good as the original. Disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap material Bought a new Weber grill cover to replace old one of 12 yr use- a waste of money! Weber knows exactly what they've done producing a new cover that is lighter and prone to tearing & cracking, that's why they can afford to cover it with a 3 yr warranty and send you another cheaply made replacement. It's all about the money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only fits with the folding work tables not folded! Why did you change the cover, Weber? Why?!? We ordered this cover as a replacement for our Q300 Grill cover #6553, which fit perfectly, but has deteriorated after years of leaving the grill outside all year long...we even grill when it's snowing! We actually are still using the deteriorated cover, because the new one doesn't fit. What we don't understand is why the new cover was made to fit the grill with the folding work tables in the 'up and locked' position, instead of the compact, 'down' position, the way the original cover fit. We bought this particular grill precisely for the reason that the work tables folded away when not in use. The original cover fit nicely with the folding work tables folded, so we could move this portable grill out of the way when we weren't using it. With this new cover, if we fold the tables, the cover is huge, and flaps around in the wind...sometimes even lifting off, no matter how much we tighten the velcro straps. Alternately, if we leave the folding work tables up, the cover fits, but we can't put our portable grill out of the way, which defeats the purpose of having folding work tables. If we didn't want to fold the work tables away, we would have bought a different model grill! We are extremely unhappy that this grill cover does not fit with the folding tray tables folded away. We have been trying to find a replacement for the original cover, #6553, which was a much better size for this grill, but it seems to have been discontinued. The length and width we are looking for is approximately 38" by 24".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2nd Generation Grill Covers are Poor Quality I've had my grill for over 10 years and bought grill cover which lasted several years. It was vented and higher quality material than cheap replacements they now sell -2nd lasted only 2 years. Very disappointed that Weber would compromise their reputation with a clearly inferior product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected Bought this for my new Weber grill. When it arrived I thought that it wasn't as heavy duty as the one I had purchased some years ago for my old Weber grill (that I was replacing). But the fit was nice (almost too tight) and it looked good. Now I see that some of the stitching on the seams is coming undone. My first impression was correct, it's just not as heavy duty and durable as the older one was. As I have disposed of the shipping container and the box it came in, probably too late to return or exchange.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from wimpy cover material It does its job if the wind docent blow too hard. But is not the same material of the older covers. The third party covers are of a heavier eight material and preferable if you live in an area where the grille if 'exposed''.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what came with the grill! Looks like the quality went down and the price went up. The cover I received is not nearly the same quality I had with the original cover.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent cover This cover is as good as or better than the generic covers. In my opinion however, Webber covers were better quality a few years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too snug My grill is about 17 years old and new cover is too small and hard to fit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good protection Weber grills aren’t cheap, mine cost over $1300, so they deserve protection. Mine sits on a covered patio, but is still exposed to water and dirt, two things that can start corrosion. This cover fits right because it was made specifically for my model. It stays put in strong winds and breathes, important to prevent moisture build up. I plan a long and useful relationship with my new grill, and this cover is a bit of insurance toward that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised! I purchased my grill and cover October 2015 and I was expecting the cover to fall apart in 3 years after reading comments and reviews about it not being as heavy and durable as previous covers. It’s now September 2019 and my cover looks new other than the dust on it. I kept my grill inside the garage for the first winter but I poured my patio the next spring and I have kept my grill there since.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very long lasting for the price. This review is for my old cover. The new cover will have to show me whether it will last longer or not. My old cover developed cracks in the first year of use. The cracks allowed rain to get through the cover which resulted in rust on the bottom shelf. In fact it has rusted completely through in places. Which gives Weber quality a very bad mark. Time will tell how the new cover lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought the cover the same time I purchased my Gen-II 320 LX. If you want to purchase such a high quality grill you’re going to want to keep it that way the best you can. This grill cover is the way to do it. I grill year round and my grill gets a lot. I made burgers just 3 days ago. When I took my cover off the grill looked just as beautiful as the the first day I got it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight but strong This is the second or third cover I have purchased for my grill. The first two were very heavy and hard to manage. This cover is much lighter but made to fit the grill perfectly. It’s especially nice when you have to rush to cover when it is going to rain. In the past I would need a second set of hands but with this cover I can handle on my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improved fabric! Bought this to replace cover that came with grill. Old fabric was “crunchy” and plastic-y and actually craked. This new one is softer and more flexible making it easier to put on and remove. I expect it will wear better. Was not sure of which cover to order and used on line “chat” and received a prompt and correct answers which was helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy I bought this on line a month ago. Over the years I've ad at least 6 Webers mostly still in use by me or family. I usually get Weber products but saved a few bucks on my last cover at the local hardware. One winter in the northeast & it was ripped to shreds. I'm happy to be back with my Weber cover that I know I will get years of service from.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wind and Rain I bought the cover about two months ago. It is slightly larger than the grill I have and it goes on easily--a decided benefit. However, in a heavy rain and wind storm this weekend I found the cover had blown all the way off the grill. Is there something inside the cover that allows it to be hooked onto the grill so it can't be blown off?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not up to expectations Made sure I had the right cover, after purchasing/returning this to Lowe’s, then ordering through Weber. Far too long, not even close to the right size. And the quality (compared to the original cover that came with my grill) is inferior. First time I’ve been disappointed with Weber products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice cover but expensive I’ve had the cover for about 6 months and I think it is working as expected. It’s thin plastic and it’s works for keeping the grill dry and snow free. The cover is good but the cost is very high. I’m happy with the cover though, my grill is going 14 years now (Weber silver genesis).
