Steaks and Scallops

Serves: 2
Ingredients
200gms Ribeye steak
4pcs Large scallops
1/2 Zest from lemon
To taste Salt
To Taste Black pepper
Recipe preparation
In the kitchen:
For Ribeye steak
  • Bring steak to room temperature before grilling.
  • Season with salt and pepper generously on both sides.
  • Oil the steak before putting on the grill.

For Scallops
  • Remove scallops from chiller and season with salt, pepper and lemon zest.
  • Sprinkle oil on scallops before grilling.

At the barbecue:
  • Prepare the barbecue for direct heat, approx. 220°c. If using a charcoal barbecue, you need 3/4 chimney starter of lit briquettes.
  • Preheat grill to 220°c, then grill steak for 2 minutes each side with the lid down. remove from grill and rest for 5minutes before serving.
  • Preheat grill to 220°c. then grill scallops for 1 minute each side, remove from grill and rest for 1 minute before serving.
