The following terms and conditions govern the participation in the competition Weber BBQ Challenge – Stay home cook out (“Competition”). By participating in the Competition, the following terms and conditions are expressly accepted.
1. The Promoter
The promoter is Weber-Stephen Products (EMEA) GmbH, Franklinstr. 28/29, 10587 Berlin (The “Promoter”)
2. The Competition
The title of the Competition is ‘“Weber BBQ Challenge – Stay home cook out. This Competition is not a prize draw or a lottery. Winner and runner-ups will be selected based on their food creativity and food presentation.
The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook/Instagram.
The Competition may be administered on Pages, groups, events or within apps on Facebook/Instagram. the Competition and associated content created by participants may be administered on the Promoter’s own website pages, in accordance with EU Privacy and GDPR laws.
The Competition prizes to win are the following:
- Grand prize: x1 Weber Genesis® II SP-335 Gas Barbecue & x1 Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub
- Runner-up prizes: x3 Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub
Weber will deliver the prizes to the address provided by the prize winners.
Competition entrants must be United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland residents, aged 18 years or over and have a Facebook or Instagram account and must adhere to the respective Social Media platforms terms and conditions.
Entrants are eligible to win x1 prize, either a runner-up prize or the grand prize, regardless of the number of entries submitted.
Submission of content is between the period of 07.05.2020 and the 25.05.2020 at 11.59pm.
4. How to Enter
To enter the Competition you must:
- Post your picture or video of your food created on your barbecue in the feed on either Weber’s Facebook or Instagram accounts
- Tag @WeberUK on Instagram or Tag @WeberGrills-UK on Facebook
- Videos and/or pictures are accepted
- In the post description, name your food creation and detail what is in your recipe
- Multiple entries per participant are allowed
5. Winner selection consideration
Winner and runners-up will be selected based on their food creativity and food presentation. The Promoter will aim to choose a winner and runners-up within 3 days of the Competition closing. Winner and runners-up will be announced on the 28th of May 2020.
Winner and runners-up will be notified by direct message on the platform they used to post their food creation to, before public announcement on Weber UK Social Media accounts.
The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner and runners up. If they cannot be contacted or are not available for any reason, or have not claimed their prize within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prizes to another participant.
The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
6. Limitation of liability
Events may occur that result in the Promoter extending, refusing, reclaiming, cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Competition and/or these terms at any point and for any reason. These may be due to a third party's illegal activity, technical difficulties and/or any other reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the participant agrees that the Promoter shall have no liability as a result thereof.
In case that the Promoter is unable to supply the relevant products because of an unexpectedly high response or some other unanticipated factor outside its control, it will ensure relevant timely communication with applicants and consumers and, in case of any likely detriment, offer a reasonable substitute product.
7. Data Protection:
In addition, should the Promoter collect any content and information directly from the entrants for the prize delivery such as your home address or contact details, it is for the sole use of the Promoter and will not be shared with any third parties.
8. Ownership of Competition entries and intellectual property rights
The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your entry into the Competition.
By submitting your Competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
(a) assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
(b) waive all moral rights,
in and to your Competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website and any other media, in connection with any publicity of the Competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full
period of any intellectual property rights in your Competition entry and any accompanying materials such as the recipe, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the Competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
English law shall govern these terms and conditions, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
